Hello, everyone!

I am a graphic designer with many years of experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, and saw that Figma is a common request among employers seeking designers. I thought I would check it out and see exactly what it does.

I have a project I am working on in Adobe Illustrator using ExtendScript ES3 (JavaScript) to create a window where information is entered, and then an Illustrator template is opened and the information is entered in various text boxes on the Illustrator document.

Is this window something that Figma would be able to do? I am guessing that it would involve using REACT. I am using Visual Studio Code to create the JavaScript code, which is then run from within Illustrator.

If anyone can help, It would be greatly appreciated!

hey @Joe_Bavitz! Hope you’ve been able to get more familiar with Figma so far 😊

I don’t have any experience with this type of detailed ask, but I modified your topic title. This should help others that have answers/feedback to have more visibility to help.

Thanks! I think I was a little too specific. I saw how Figma is a requested skill by employers, and I wanted to see if would be useful in a project I have been working on. I have never heard of it, so I need the most beginnery sort of training that there is!
