“Export 2x” doesn’t work((((( When will it get fixed? Export 1x, 3x, 4x, etc. work as usual. What happened with Figma last 3 weeks?

Ahh sorry, I get confused! Thanks for sharing the video. From what I see in your video, this is an expected behavior.

As you can see, the visual size of an image exported at 2x is not increased if you import it back into Figma. This is because Figma assumes that images with a DPI of 144 will be used in designs for high-density screens and automatically scales them in half to accommodate.
Here’s our guide on “Exports formats and setting” here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/13402894554519-Export-formats-and-settings#Export_settings Hope this helps!

Works perfectly fine for me, just tested.

You are the first person here reporting this.

Thanks foe your reply. You are lucky. It doesn’t work with about 4 colleagues

Hey Tatiana! Thanks for flagging this. I can’t also replicate on my end.

For your information, you should technically be able to export any frame at x2 for PNG and JPG. If this doesn’t work for those formats, this might be a bug indeed.

In that case, if you can’t share publicly your file, I’d suggest to reach out directly to the support team here: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Be sure to provide a link to your file and share it with support-share@figma.com to your affected file and send us its URL so we can try to reproduce it. Also, we would need a screenshot of the frame you’re trying to export so we can identify it.

Regarding other formats, PDF can only be exported at x1 and SVG is a scalable format that doesn’t rely on pixels. You can learn more about it in this article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/13402894554519#Export_settings Hope it helps!

Thank you, Celine for the reply. Sure I’d happy to share the link: https://www.figma.com/file/ymnWRoV5bALdzJQIFdC9qt/Tati?type=design&node-id=0%3A1&mode=design&t=hnVrjBoMKxtDzT0A-1

And yes, it’s doesn’t work for JPG and PNG(
My screens I’ve attached.

Looking forward to your reply

Thanks for sharing the file!
Hmm this is odd, it works on my end. Can you please share a video recording so we can check the steps you did to export? Did you get any error message? And is it happening in your browser, desktop app or both?

Tatiana_Rudenko

Thanks! Yes, I’ve recorded a video. I don’t get any errors… And I do it in Figma desktop App. The file is more than 8 MB, that’s why I’ve used Google Disk for the link: Figma Export (?) - Google Drive
