School Account Closure: Cannot Access My Figma Files

I am unable to access my Figma account that I made with my school’s email address ever since I graduated. I have a couple of assets and files in there that are important for my research. I was able to retrieve my Canva and Biorender accounts and switch the email to my current email address, so I don’t see why I can’t with Figma. Thank you!

Hey Victoria, welcome to the community!
Could you let me know why you can’t access your account anymore? Do you get an error message when you try to log in?

The best way to transfer your files here would be to log in to your account and to invite your current email address to your team. From there, you’ll have to log in to your account and you should be able to move your files and projects on this new team.

In order to switch your mail, if you don’t have access to your previous email, do you happen to have emails from your school’s email address forwarded to the new email address? If so, we recommend to reset your password so that you can surpass the Google single sign on login to access your Figma account, and then update your email address as needed.

If your emails are not forwarded, what we can do is start the process to manually update your Figma account email address, this required the support assistance. Please let me know, and I can follow up your case directly to the support team. Thank you!

If I sign in with my school email, it tells me to sign in with Google. My Google account is locked ever since I graduated, so I no longer have access. I do not have emails from my school’s email address forwarded to a new email address, so I am not able to reset my password. I would appreciate that you follow up my case directly to the support team. Thank you!
