Question

Native Figma app on MacOS locked at 60fps

Boban

Hello everyone!

So I just got my 144hz monitor to work with the new MacBook Pro 13 M1, and noticed that the native Figma app is locked / capped at 60 frames.

BUT, when opening Figma in Google Chrome, and viewing the same design project, I have full 144 fps unlocked?

Any ideas how to “unlock” the frames for the native desktop app?

Thanks,
Boban

Since this is a technical issue it likely needs the attention of the Figma team, you can reach out to them via support@figma.com or the support request form. Also check out the list of Chromium flags, maybe you can launch Figma with some flag that enables that: Chrome/Chromium startup flags

@Gleb How do you run Figma with flags? from Terminal?

Yep, I’m pretty sure it would be roughly the same as Chromium.
