I have no confusion with the other types of variables but with the colors I have a conflict because I don’t know where to define them in my project, if in styles, in the variables or in both

Styles or variables to define the colors
You can think of variables as the topmost place where you can place values that you can then apply to anything else. Also, a color variable can only hold a single color value, while a color style can combine many colors.
And it’s possible that in the future you’ll be able to use color variables to create color styles 😉
