When I right-click on a page no menu appears in the Figma app. I only get a menu when I right-click in the layers panel.

and I don’t have the top pane where the pen tool is (which I need), so I can’t make that panel appear without the menu.

Hello @Jason_Goldstein, Thank you for getting in touch regarding this!

I want to make sure I’ve got it right — are you saying that you’re unable to see this menu?

If that’s the case, could you please do a quick check for us?

  • Is it happening only on the Desktop app, or also on supported browsers like Chrome or Firefox?

  • Try out some basic troubleshooting steps to see if you notice any changes:

    • For browser: Completely close your current session and open Figma again in a new browser window.

    • For Desktop app: Completely close the Figma Desktop app and then reopen it.

  • Clear your app or browser cache to see if that clears up the issue.

For pen tool, if you’re using UI3, it has been moved to the bottom toolbar. You can learn more about it at :Navigating UI3: Figma’s new UI

I hope one of these suggestions proves to be helpful. If I’ve misunderstood any part of the issue, please let us know.

Thank you once more for reaching out to us!

Hello, I’m currently having the same issue. Only after I updated my desktop app to Figma Desktop App version 125.0.7. It was working fine before that. I’ve followed the instructions of clearing my app cache, I’ve force quit the app, I’ve rebooted my laptop and I still cannot access the menu by control+clicking on any item. However, like Jason, it does work on the layers panel.

@Jason_Goldstein did any of those steps mentioned work for you? Did your issue ever get resolved?

Thanks
