Present mode displays rectangles that are not there

Anyone else have problems using Figmas Present Mode?
When presenting and clicking through my prototypes, rectangles appear every now and then - always on different places and pages - they hide smaller parts of my prototype. I refresh the page and the rectangles disappear.

I have looked though all layers in my file and there is nothing there that shouldn’t be there.
It’s annoying that I have to refresh the present mode page several times clicking through the protoypes.
Could this be a bug or slow internet connection?

Hey @Sandra19 ! Thanks for flagging this, it looks definitely odd.
Would you be able to share more details with a screenshot or screen recording of the issue?
From your explanation, it seems like you encounter some glitches.
To cover some basics, I recommend you to check the Figma browser and desktop app requirements.
Then, clear out the cache in the browser and/or desktop app (more details how to do it here), uninstall and reinstall Figma.

Please also make sure you aren’t using Figma behind a Firewall or Proxy
If you’re using the desktop app behind a Firewall, proxy, or Virtual Private Network (VPN), you will see the error message: Connection Error (407).

You have two options:

  • Use Figma in the browser. You can access the Figma web app from any of our supported browsers. What browsers does Figma support?
  • Ask your IT department or systems administrator to unblock Port 443. This is the standard port for websites that are run over SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).

If this doesn’t help, I’d recommend you to reach out the support team with a copy of your file by filling this form so they can take a look: here
Be sure to use your Figma account email, share a short video of the issue, include the link to the affected file, and share it with support-share@figma.com. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I will have a look at your suggestions.
I only use Figma online, I never use the desktop app. I will try your suggestions and get back to you guys if it doesn’t work.
