PDF embedded fonts and smaller file size?

I’ve read a thread about Figma .pdf export compression. That thread has since been closed and I think it is relevant to bring up again.

I created a one page .pdf in Figma and the resulting export was 10mb. Using the “TinyImage Compressor” Figma plugin, I was able to get it to 1mb–but even with this plugin, there are still problem with Figma .pdf export.

As @craig_willers said,

This is desperately needed for creating presentation decks. The plugin is not the solution. It’s expensive and rendering without embedded fonts is clunky.

Anyone have suggestions? Does the Figma team know about this issue?

I’ve just tried with Foxit Reader.
Export PDF from Figma → Open it in Foxit → use “Save As” (or Ctrl + Shift + S) as .pdf file
2Mb → 730kB. You could try bigger files and other PDF reader, I also want to know other results.

Another way that I did is to export pdf file as usual and use pdf compress online tool to smaller the size down.
