I created a new account for my friend, and it doesn’t have a “( ? )” in the lower right-hand corner. My branding instructions for my small non-profit project are to use the old interface. It’s very important to me to get it back. We’ll be moving to the new design later, but it takes time.


I tried to find it “back to old” on Ctrl+K, but it doesn’t work too

Hi @Memoria_Artis, Thank you for reaching out to us about this. I appreciate you providing the details on why you need to use the previous UI.


We understand that some users may prefer the familiar interface of the previous version. If your friend account meets certain criteria listed below, they can switch back to the previous UI:



  • Users on paid plans

  • Users who created their account prior to June 2024


If this is not the case, unfortunately, there is no option to go back to the previous UI. We understand that it may take some time to get used to, but we encourage exploring UI3. You can see how things have changed here: Navigating UI3: Figma’s new UI


On the other hand, I tested by creating a new starter account this morning - Since that account does not fall into the aforementioned categories, I cannot revert back to the previous UI. However, I can see the “?” icon at the bottom right of the canvas.

So please ask your friend to try the following basic troubleshooting steps to see if they can see the “?”:



  • Close any Figma tabs you’re not using

  • Browser: Force-quit and open Figma in a new browser window.

  • Desktop App: Force-quit the Figma Desktop app and restart it.


If after performing the troubleshooting steps, the “?” icon still does not appear, I recommend contacting support at https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374

When reaching out, please remember to include the following details:



  • Your Figma account email

  • Recording of the issue, capturing the full Figma screen with the left and right-hand panels


From the “?” icon, you can provide feedback by selecting “Submit feedback”. We’ll continue to gather feedback to improve UI3 and make it the best experience possible.
