When i am Creating mask in the frame where there is no other layers then it won’t create a mask group
So when i try to add new layer in the particular frame it automatically get into the mask to avoid this we can create the masking as group manually or we need to have exisiting layer in the frame before creating masking like this
In this frame before creating a mask there is a text layer so when i created a mask figma automatically created mask group like this
