I can't open because WEBGL isn't supported?

How do I access the project when this comes up?
Uh oh… we can’t open that file

We can’t open this file because WebGL isn’t supported, or is disabled, in your browser. If your browser supports WebGL, check out this help article to find out how to enable it.

Try enabling hardware acceleration and enabling WebGL.

The article below describes how to disable these settings, but you need to enable them.

You can also try updating the video card driver. If this doesn’t help, it is better to contact support.

This started happening to me today and I have been using Firefox with Figma for 3+ years

Restaring the computer fixed the problem for me.

Hi All

№1. Check your browsers for supports WebGL2 (and default, and all)
For example here: https://get.webgl.org/webgl2/

№2. If Chrome not rendering, go to adress: “chrome://flags”
Find stroke: “Choose ANGLE graphics backend” and find “OpenGL” then button “Relaunch”

№3. After that check №1 again. If work on test webgl supporting — restart Figma app and all ok.

In my situation №2 help well done with Chrome, But default browser was and now Firefox in system ))

If you aren’t able to run WebGL in Chrome, make sure that you update to the most recent version of Chrome . If you are using the most recent version of Chrome and can’t access WebGL content, make sure that hardware acceleration is enabled in your Chrome settings.

Disable your “Intel UHD 730” driver from device manager and restart your PC, it will resolve your error, because the error with “Intel UHD 730” this particular integrated graphic card so if you disable your graphic card the glitch is not working anymore.

Enabling hardware acceleration on Chrome

Had this problem too, but after a quick panic attack I found out updating your browser helps. Go to the three dots in the top right > help > about google chrome and then there should be an update fuction.
Otherwise, plan B would be using any other browser and you should be able to just open it there.

For me this just came out of nothing, I was working for an hour on Figma, no updates on Browser or anything. Suddenly the screen went black and this issue came up. Windows 11- Chrome, all last versions

Hey @Alexander_Engl1, did you also see the following error?

Can you check if you see the same error in the desktop app? Please go to https://get.webgl.org/ and check if it shows WebGL is enabled? If you do not see a spinning cube you can enable WebGL by following the link on that page that says ‘visit the support site for your browser.’

If you see the spinning cube there, can you go to https://webglreport.com/ and take a screenshot of both tabs for us (WebGL 1 & 2). Also let me know what Browser you have tested in?

Technical Troubleshooting Tips and Configure your browser for Figma cover our requirements in more depth.
Here are the links to our Help Center article:

Please let me know if helps!

Just upgrade your browser it will resolve.

Enabling this flag: #enable-webgl-draft-extensions solved the problem for me.
