How to ignore changes before merging?

Imagine the following scenario:

John wants to hand over some design solutions to his development team. For that, John created a new branch called Handover and removed unnecessary pages to avoid people looking at work-in-progress designs.

During the handover review, the team gave some valuable feedback, and John made the changes directly on that branch. Now he wants to have those changes back into the his main Figma file. John starts the review and merge process but notices that Figma will remove all pages from the main file. That’s something John doesn’t want to do.

From this given scenario, how can John ignore the deleted pages and only merge the changes he made on the Handover page? Is that possible?

I appreciate any new ideas on how to solve such scenarios as well. Thanks!
