How do you keep the position of your scroll on the homepage when navigating back from a subpage?

Hi all,

I’m only able to navigate back to the same position if both pages are the same length (“expand and shrink the view”) but I’m not able to go back to let’s say section 3 after navigating to a sub-page - it only goes back to the top. I tried using sections but no go.

Any advice appreciated.
