How do you keep object distance proportionally when resizing?

In sketch and XD I am used to set the height and width constraints to fixed, and it works out of the gate. Figma does not seem to listen to these rules initially. Unless you create a frame, but then it just keeps the same distance, rather than it being proportionally to the frame size.

Here is a video on what I am trying to do in XD, and an attempt in Figma.

PS: I can’t upload attachments on this forum because I am new? What? Why? I have a paid subscription for Figma…

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

If I understand correctly, you can wrap your ellipses in an auto layout frame and change the spacing mode from “Packed” to “Space between”.

Thanks. That appears to work for 1 dimension. TO get the other dimension to behave the same, it needs a ‘align center’. It’s a lot more clicks unfortunately, but at least we can get there.
