Global Navigation Component with Hover Styles and Links

Hello everyone, I would like to make a component for a navigation that I can place on several artboards. So I have to set the prototype links only once. The navigation buttons should have hover states. I still have old Figma documents where I managed to do this and it still works. For some time now, however, I have not been able to recreate this.

Do you have an idea how I should build it? Or is there a tutorial somewhere? Possibly with variables?

Have you tried using tokens? I create a global component that includes an optional Instance Slot. This makes my navigation component universal and I can use it everywhere and linking to frames is done using local tokens in the current page. You can find more about tokens here Prototyping with Tokens
