Fullscreen bug on Sonoma is back – sometimes open new windows instead of opening the tabs

Hello,

I’m referring to this topic, which was solved at the end of last year: FIX LAUNCHED! macOS Sonoma: Figma in fullscreen mode - tab behaviour - #87 by Matheus_Souza

Haven’t had the bug since then, but just this week it starts happening again. Same thing as last year.

We’re not aware of anyone else having this issue. We just tried to reproduce the behavior and have been unsuccessful so far.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

  • logging out and back in
  • clearing your desktop app’s cache
  • un-installing and re-installing the desktop app

Here’s how to clear the desktop app cache on a Mac:

  1. Quit the Figma desktop app
  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command:
    rm -rf “$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma/”{Desktop,DesktopProfile}
  3. Try opening the desktop app again
