Figma app Installation has failed (Windows)

Hello, I have a problem with the desktop version Figma. Before I work and after the last update, Figma didn’t open more. When I try to install a new version it gives allert.

Installation has failed
There was an error while installing the application. Check the setup log for more information and contact the author.

On the file I see alert like
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file C:\Users***\AppData\Local\Figma\app-98.14.0\resources\app.asar.unpacked_codesign’

When I go to this route windows said he can’t find this file too. But if I go there step by step I see the file.

Ok. I find how to fix this problem.

  1. Nedd open soft “command prompt” like administrator
  2. cd "C:\users\kukha\AppData\Local\Figma
    where kukha - your user name
  3. del /s /q “Figma”
    if they ask something need say “Y”

After all files inside the folder will delete

Now you can install Figma again.

Suddenly Figma app stopped opening on my pc. Then I have uninstalled it & tried to reinstall now showing this error log. How can I solve this?

i solved this.
go to :
C:\Users\ your user folder \AppData\Local/figma
and find the _codesign file , then create an text file and zip it with sendto menu then select that _codesign file and hold shift and drag it into zip file , then delete zip file and figma folder.
now install figma.

I uninstalled it and when I tried a fresh install from the downloader on the site it keeps throwing this error. thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it did not help me as an error pops up the specified folder is empty so you cannot add it to this archive. Maybe I’m doing smth wrong…

This command must be written on the command prompt.
