I’m trying to export a document I created in Figma with 12 different frames but every single time I try to export all the frames together into a single PDF file the first page shows just big blank empty space.
I’ve tried everything that comes to my mind. Creating a new frame and moving the content. Making the frame a section, recreating every text, images and shapes of the frame from zero and more but nothing.
If I export the frame singularly it works. If I export all the frames into multiple files it works. Just when I try to do everything together.
I’ve searched on the community but can’t find a solution that works for me. Please help!
So, I found the solution. I’m going to leave it here in case anyone else ends up in my same situation.
Basically, some of the contents of the page were not aligned to the pixels and due to this, the whole page was not rendered. Only if you export it in PNG or JPG it works. Not in PDF cause it has to be aligned.
I fixed it using a plugin called “Pixel Perfect” and some manual finetuning. It has a green icon that resembles pixels.
To check if your issue is similar to mine and make sure it’s a pixel aligning problem, select the whole frame/layer, click on the export button on the right side bar, then select PDF and finally select "export [name of your layer].
It should open up a pop up on the right upper side of your browser that show each component/object of the layer and if you read “image not aligned to pixels” in red under one or more of your objects (text, images, shapes, etc…) it means you have my same problem. Just run the plugin and it should fix everything.
If not, just find a workaround to each element that doesn’t get fixed until all errors are gone.
It took me 1.5h to figure out and a lot of headaches. Hope it helps someone!
