Components have turned invisible

I have a component that lives with all my other components on a devoted page. Today I opened my Figma file and the instances of that component are visible but the master sitting on the components page with all its variants is invisible.
I’ve checked all settings, transparency etc and everything is as it should. If I select the component via the layer stack (it’s the only way to select it) I get the purple line around it but besides that, I can’t see anything else so I can’t edit it.

Any help appreciated.

Ok, fixed.
For some unknown reason the frame that housed the components which has autolayout turned on, had resized itself to nothing by nothing and had clip content turned on.
No idea how that happened over the weekend while the file wasn’t even open.
