Component set too large to copy and paste into new file without exceeding browser memory

Our library got too large, so I’m in the process of copying some components to another file to reduce browser memory. However, I have one component set with 336 detailed variants, and I can’t copy and paste it without going over browser memory. Is there a way to copy and paste the variants in sets without breaking the component set?

I have tried closing all other browser tabs and pasting the component set into an empty file - I still get the red banner/crash in the empty file when trying to paste, and refresh does nothing.

Hey Courtney,

What you can try is this plugin from gleb, here is a tutorial of how to move components from file to file Move Components in Figma — Guide. But your component is anyways to large that I would suggest to first try to reduce your variants with the new properties feature.
