Question

Color variables from one file not available in another file

Thomas_Cramer1

Hi

I have a file containing my primitive color variables, and then I have another file containing my semantic colors.

My issue is that a group of primitive colors from the first file/library are not visible in my file with the semantic colors when I want to choose them through “Fill” or “Stroke” for instance. They are not set to hide from export. But if I try and create a new color variable I can see the colors.

And If I copy a shape from the original file with the primitive color, I’m able to see that specific color under “Fill” but not the rest from that particular group.

I haven’t scoped the colors either (none of the primitive colors are scoped). I feel variables have been working pretty well, and I’m unsure whether this has always been an issue or if it is something new?

Perhaps someone else has experienced this or now what is going on?
