Alignment issue in boolean operation

Hi,
I used material guidelines to create a button, and I gave the icon a boolean operation to control whether it was visible or not.
Everything works as it should when the icon toggle is turned on, but when I turn off the toggle i.e. hide the icon, the text does not centre itself. I want padding of 24 pixels on both sides.
