Add a setting to hide purple buttons near selection

B_Z

When a component layer is selected, sometimes there is a small purple [+] or [crosshair] button added beneath it to “Add variant” or “Select all X matching layer”.

Figma is so well-designed, so it’s strange why they thought it’s a good idea to overlay these buttons directly on top of objects. They are disruptive and I click on them accidentally when trying to select multiple objects near each other.

Please give us a setting to hide these. Thanks!

It’s not possible to hide the + icon under each variant.
What you can do to avoid clicking it is to auto-layout the whole component, and select Horizontal layout, so that all variants are horizontally stacked.
