Can we please add an option to choose whether annotations sit to the left or right of frames vs above and below? My flows are aligned horizontally which means I have a million dashed lines running across each frame. If we could set annotations’ orientation then annotations wouldn’t clutter adjacent screens without having to hide controls. Yes, we could vertically stack our flows, but also (no thank you) that comes with it’s own issues.
Hi everyone,If I’m not mistaken, the only way to use variable logic to switch variants based on a variable mode is by creating a component, instancing it, and then connecting the variable to its properties. For example:I have a component called “Slider”, which contains two variants — iOS and Android. As a designer, I’d like to use the “Slider” component and set in my file the variable "system" to iOS.However, as a library maintainer, the only way to make this work is to create another component called “Slider”, then instance the original Slider inside it — which doesn’t make much sense. It would be great to have a property directly in the parent component that allows variable modes to work without needing to nest components inside each other.
While establishing local variables for a dashboard with large-scale numbers, I’m finding that the value field does not support “,” (commas) as a character. This makes numbers beyond 3 digits much harder to read at a glance. It also breaks stylistic choices for typographic reasons. One solution that comes to mind is to have a global style mode for whether commas are auto-placed in numeric strings, either at the local variable stage for numbers or in type-setting options. This would reduce work on the user’s end for having to manually place every comma, and also ensure consistency from a calculation standpoint (so that Figma has an accurate number to reference in equations).
Would it be possible to make the crop feature accessible via a keyboard shortcut when editing an image? I use this functionality frequently and find it somewhat inefficient to have to manually select the icon each time.Additionally, I noticed an inconsistency in behavior: double-clicking a cropped image enters crop mode, whereas double-clicking an uncropped image does not. It would be helpful if the interaction were consistent in both cases.Lastly, I observed that the “Create Frame” function is currently assigned to two shortcuts: ‘A’ and ‘F’.
I’m always working on large projects where I’m jumping between creating concepts and diagrams and referencing all of them. It’s a hassle having to maintain two different files, especially when sharing and gathering feedback from stakeholders. An example is when I’ve created a flow diagram in FigJam and then I want to walk through wireframes based on that diagram. I usually end up jumping between both files, which is confusing for people, or creating a flow in Figma, which is way less flexible than FigJam for creating diagrams. It would be great if there was a way to embed or integrate sections of a FigJam file into a Figma file and vice versa. Along with that, I’d need a way to edit embedded sections.
Would be really good to import SVGs into Figma Make.
The text above the top left of the frame is very small. Please have some setting so that when you zoom in a lot, the text no longer stays the same size and enlarges, so you can at some point easily see the text and be able to edit it easily. Sometimes I have to take a screenshot and then zoom in to see what i’ve typed. Other text in other apps appear easily readible. I remember another app ( I think Sketch) did this, when you zoom past 100% it keeps the font size relative to the zooms instead. so the artboard name becomes larger and larger.
When adding an additional interaction to a component (within the “Interaction” floating window), for actions such as ‘navigate to’, ‘open overlay’ and ‘swap overlay’, we have to select the right frame from a huge dropdown list which enlists all the frames in the page. This is crazy. Even if I give my frame a unique name to make it easily identifiable, it is still extremely difficult to go through the list and find the frame as the list is not even sorted alphabetically. And it doesn’t even only list the frames within my space, but ALL the frames in the page.A simple search bar will solve the problem. Combine that with the ability to first see the frames within a space in the list, it gets even better. Would also be great if we could drag noodles like we do with single interactions. It’s highly frustrating to look for a frame in this panel. Kindly add this simple feature that will be a huge boost to usability.
In an file you have 50-70+ prototype on single page, and you generally remember by name, so if we have something like search by name on prototype side, we can easily find the prototype
I would like to start a design in Figma Make or import Figma Design project, and then edit with Make. At some point, I would like to export for manual editing in Design and import back to Make for additional adjustments. Is that possible?
I’d love a copy button for comments in Figma. Sometimes I need to copy feedback from one file to another. A quick copy button would make this much smoother than having to manually highlight the text and press cmd+c every time.
It would be great if the GET Project Files route returned the editorType value for each file with its response. My app pulls down the file content for so many files unnecessarily, only to discard them after reading the editorType value once I already have the content.
Hi there,Please see attached screenshot. In my opinion these sliders should on value changed should trigger the MAC touchpad haptic feedback. I feel like that would be a sweet user experience as when you’re currently sliding on a mac touchpad it doesn’t have any haptic feedback. There are other components which utilise this. Cheers
I’d love to be able to disable all interaction with a video in Presentation Mode. This is so that a large video does not impede the viewer from advancing to the next slide by playing/pausing the video on click.Right now for any large videos / video backgrounds, I have to create a 0% opacity text link over the entire video to ensure it advances to the next page when clients click it.
User StoryAs a FigJam user, I often use FigJam to sketch out rough ideas (for example, a “fat-marker” diagram). When doing this, I also often want to add notes or write down ideas for specific areas on the canvas, which may contain multiple different elements. To do this today, I have a few options:I can “highlight” the area / elements I want to note with a bordered rectangle or another element, and then attach a note to that rectangle with an arrow, but this obscures the area I’m highlighting. I can draw with the pen tool and do the same thing as the above, but this also obscures the area I’m highlighting. I can copy the elements in the area I want to highlight, move them to the side, then add notes there, but this isn’t always super easy to do when elements are grouped or locked. I can screen shot the area I want to highlight, add the screenshot to the canvas, then add notes to that screenshot, but if I change the area I highlighted then the screenshot is outdated. What would be great,
Hi, my organization is creating a pretty robust template for our entire company. We have opted to make figma buzz templates component sets, as these are templates with many variants interconnected. However, we’ve noticed that as you make component sets in Figma Buzz, the names of each frame disappear and become the name of the main component. I think the change layout update is great, but being able to pre-name this existing variables with naming conventions would be great for non-designers using the templates to better navigate the options.
Is there any way to access the device switcher in Make when “playing” the prototype (not in editor mode)?
While working with masked images, adjusting the image fill currently requires multiple clicks — we need to open the right-side panel, go into Fill → Image → and then select from Fill, Fit, Crop, or Tile.It would be much more efficient if these four options (Fill, Fit, Crop, Tile) appeared directly below the Fill option once an image is detected — similar to how Adobe InDesign offers direct toggles for image fitting. This small UX improvement would significantly speed up workflows, especially for designers who frequently adjust images within frames or masks.Thank you for considering this enhancement!
Sería de gran utilidad, que se integrara un buscador por imagen para encontrar rápidamente diseños y propuestas dentro de un equipo grande de trabajo sobre suite de productos.
Figma should add Glow Effect in the Effects section. It will help to add personality to the design. I usually do drop shadow to create a glow effect and it is really tedious because you have to do a lot of drop shadow just to achieve that glow effects for text and vectors.
It would be very helpful to have a half-circle shape (semi-circle) available directly in FigJam. Why this matters:In workshops, facilitators often use visual metaphors and structured diagrams to guide discussion. Half-circles are commonly used for:Representing progress or partial completion Visualizing relationships or opposing forces Creating layered frameworks Benefits:Efficiency: Faster setup for visual frameworks and templates. Consistency: Ensures uniform shapes across different boards and teams. Accessibility: Makes FigJam more approachable for facilitators who are not design experts. In short:A half-circle shape would make FigJam more powerful for workshop design, visual facilitation, and conceptual thinking.
Hey, Is there any idea if getting the team id of a user just from a token will be implemented any time soon? Or if someone knows a different way to obtain that info?
Hi everyone,I often run into an issue when creating components: I want certain properties to be mutually exclusive. For example, inside a component (most of the time it’s a product card), I have Block A, Block B, and Block C, each controlled by a boolean toggle. If I want to switch from A to B, I have to manually turn B on and A off. This quickly becomes tedious, especially with multiple options. While variants are an alternative, they become impractical when dealing with many of this mutually exclusive choices, and they add too much complexity and file size.Conditional logic could also work for this but it is such a pain to do for this simple and recurent use case that I consider it as not a viable option for a day-to-day workflow. Feature Idea:It would be great to group boolean properties so only one can be active at a time—like a set of radio buttons instead of multiple independent toggles.Would this help your workflow too? What do you think?
Hi to all. I love to use Figma to make prototype but i think that it’s time to improve dev mode and show html+css code about components. Especially if the compponents were made using autolayout. I know that there’s some plugin but i think Figma have to improve this side. What do you think about it?
HeyIt would be great if we have repeat functionality in design mode too not just in draw mode. Thanks
