Compare changes on the Publish screen

Jason_Sparks

Please introduce compare changes to the publish screen (similar to how you have when comparing branches). Currently if you want to publish something all you see is a tiny thumbnail and no details of what the changes are.

Hi @Jason_Sparks , Thanks for sharing your thought!
I totally understand how it would be beneficial to have a compare change in the publish library modal window. We will pass your idea along to the team for future consideration!

In the meantime, please don’t forget to vote up your idea (There is a vote button above the topic’s title).

Thank you!

When we publish a library, we can see what components are updated but we can’t view them and compare the new updated version with the previous one. It happened many times before that I just pushed the update because changes were a lot and it was impossible to review and compare.
When we select the component, we should see another page and compare the changes.

Upvoting this feature request, as well as the older one with more votes that was closed in Dec 2023. Please give us a way to preview changes to a component so we can write accurate commit messages when publishing. Even the same side-by-side comparison when accepting the changes would give us the insights needed to note changes in the commit message. 🙏

Upvoting this feature. It would also be great to be able to identify if the library change is only name or description changes as opposed to a component design change.
