Currently, the number (#000) of a comment is not shown in the active panel. This is only shown in the overview list. Showing on an active panel prevents additional searching. If a comment panel is active, you have to manually scroll to it in the overview list. This should actually be shown automatically (at the top of the list). This prevents an additional action from the user.
Imagine an interactive prototype of a dynamic table interface. This table contains various components such as rows, dropdowns, and other elements that list information, typically user data. The key feature of this prototype is its ability to demonstrate how users can manipulate the table’s content in real-time. For example, consider a scenario where you’re showcasing the functionality of sorting users alphabetically. The prototype allows you to switch between ascending and descending order. To achieve this, you need to reorder the individual row instances within the parent table instance. This functionality not only applies to sorting but also extends to changing the quantity of displayed items or rearranging them based on different criteria. The prototype’s interactivity enables users to experience these dynamic changes, providing a realistic simulation of the final product’s behavior.
Hi, Just share my point of view, the new Interface of the design panel feels like too clean? and I’m got a bit lost with the design tools when first time come to it. My ideas is turn the design tool’s component to black background and white icon to make the contracts out.
It would be really helpful if we could easily refer to the concepts/wireframes created in FigJam while working in a Figma design file. Currently we have to either switch between the tabs or copy paste stuff which is a real hassle. Figma already does a great job of covering product design cycle by having Design > Prototype > Dev modes. It just seems logical to add one more mode before the Design that involves FigJam. I thought split tabs would have solved for this but it did not. Maybe the above approach in combination with split tabs could address the problem.
So lately I’ve been designing retro mockups and they use pixel fonts. On most design tools like GIMP, Pixel.net, and Photoshop, there is an option to use Aliasing (Disable Anti-Aliasing) for text, making it pixelated (no blurring caused by anti-aliasing) and unfortunately Figma does not have this, which makes me search for Bitmap fonts that only work on specific sizes to accomplish pixel fonts. So I wanted to ask for an option to have Aliased fonts without Anti-Aliasing, to force them be pixelated.
Hi when doing a user test I’d like to preset some of the prototype options so that user don’t have to do it at the beginning of the test. Ex : I have to ask him to close the side pannel, then Uncheck “Show Hints” on click, then click on “Fit with” then click on “Hide UI”. That is a lot of action that I’d prefer to preset on my own for them.
Hi there, there are projects where I need the 100% look of the final product. But smaller system fonts below 16px are too much softened by figmas standard font renderer. That fonts even gets a tick smaller than on the browsers engine. There is no possibility to change the antialias(render)type to get a sharper text. I havn’t found any possible solution yet. Of course it helps a bit by using “Round to pixels”, but i doesn’t change the smaller appearance of the font when i compare it to a browsers font the same size. I just need it a bit sharper ☀️ Working with softened fonts will never look as the final product nor it will be satisfying while putting color on small text inside the tables. Colors make them look so wishy washi. Will that be a viable idea? kind regards
How do I select multiple objects without drawing a box around them? For instance if I want to select a few objects that are on top of a bunch of other objects I can’t select all with the marquee because it selects the background objects too.
button icon FULL SIZE DESKTOP APP SCREEN. I DONT WANT TO SEE THE TOOL BAR OF MY DESKTOP WINDOW 11
I’d like to reduce the smoothing on the pencil tool, so I can use it to quickly sketch in little placeholder icons and even introduce handwriting. Right now, the amount of smoothing makes the pencil tool almost useless for this.
Would be nice to be able to color code the square next to the starred files to make them easily distinguishable.
I’m working in an agency developing (among other things) design systems for our clients. Recently we ran into an issue while transferring a design system project we had started, to the client’s organization. Without going to too much detail (we are solving the issue with Figma support) a lot of headache could have been avoided, if styles would be as easy to transfer between files, as components. At least to my understanding, there currently isn’t a way to transfer/copy&paste a style from a Figma file to another (w/o plugins at least). Am I the only one missing a native feature in Figma to achieve this? Also, handling multiple style values and descriptions at once would be fantastic! This is possible with plugins atm. But I think it would be welcome feature to have better style management natively in Figma.
Is there a way in Figma that I’m only the one who can see the hidden and resolve comment when i click filter comment to see resolve comment, while my other team in a project cannot see it, because the problem is that so many bubble chat of comment and it hinder the design view. I hope you will resolve this if there is an option in comment section where i can set it → I only one can see it and not include the other team members of that project that where working on.
My company would like to use Figma as an Invision-like replacement. However, when in prototype mode, you can click the dropdown next to the title name and it allows you to “open in editor” if you have a Figma account. This is a problem as it gives anyone the ability to poke around in the native files rather than just having access to the presentation version. Please make it possible to disable access to the editor by giving different sharing permissions!

Nowadays Figma shows a purple + (add variant) button underneath my selected variant. I keep clicking it accidentally and it’s really starting to annoy me that it was added for no good reason (there is a “add variant” button in the top bar where it’s not in the way of my regular clicking behaviour). My suggestion is to make it a setting to hide this button. But I have no use for it. So it might also just be reverted to how it used to be without that button, we survived fine without it.
I originally posted this in the primary UI3 feedback thread, but it was suggested to me by @Leonel_Vitorino that it be it’s own topic as it had enough importance that it should be able to collect it’s own votes and such. It appears that inserting components from libraries is entirely driven by a “search” in UI3, in UI2 one could also “browse” for components by looking through a library. This was important to me in my workflow as I don’t always know exactly what a component is named. For example, inheriting a UI kit from a previous designer or using an extensive public icon library. To go a bit deeper, I use Material icons for many of our projects and I may not always know what the icon is named—but I generally know what kind of interaction I am wanting to represent and Material is organized in a way that appropriate icons are “discoverable”. Thus, in UI2 I could generally “discover” a suitable icon by browsing the pages of the icon library file, which is organized like categories. This
I get the minimized UI, but I can’t be the only one who finds it a nuisance to have to maximize the UI in order to change pages…
Hand-off of complex project can be quite tricky. Somehow a better export from Dev-mode, to maintain the autolayout constraints as media queries and make it easier for devs to replicate all the responsive behaviors created by a designer would be such a terrific feature! What do you think?
Hi there, I have been loving Figma Slides since the day it has been launched. But since I have been duplicating slides, I noticed how excruciating it is to change footer text to make sure it says “Design update August #3” instead of “Design update August #2”, and the different section titles. So I would love a feature in which you can create titles and other text values that you can connect to a text layer, then select that text layer, and edit that “variable” from any slide that has a text layer with that specific “variable” (thus decenteralised). Would love it even more if things like date and page nr. would be in there too.
It would be very useful if it were possible to set in the Color Scope of the variables the color value as text content, allowing you to select which value would be visible: Hex, RGB, HSL, etc. This would greatly help speed up the creation of a design system that contains hundreds of colors, making it easier to clearly visualize the variable name and its value, allowing for quick identification and improving the workflow, especially in collaborative projects.
Hi Figma team, When building prototypes with overlays, the “Reset scroll position” and “Reset component state” options currently apply to both the main page and the overlay simultaneously. It would be really helpful to have the ability to reset the scroll position and/or component state independently for the overlay and the main page. This would give us more control, allowing only one to reset when needed without affecting the other, which is particularly useful in more complex prototype designs. Thank you for considering this improvement!
Have you considered adding the ability to toggle the ability to follow on and off, as it’s been implemented in Sketch for a long time?
I love variables, it lets me create flexible design assets in all sorts of ways but managing variables is just such a pain in the ***. Just a simple thing as resizing the cells of the window would help me see the full name of the variables. Bonus, give me a way of exporting/importing/copying collections so I can move around my hard work to other files with ease.
I would like to easily copy a full collection, a mode column, some variable rows, and even some selected value cells from one file to another using simple cmd+C/V, like using google sheet. And because basically we are talking about tables — let me copy/paste cells between Figma and Google Sheet. In Google Sheet I can calculate values, scales and I could then easily update multiple values in just a few clicks.
