I’d like to be able to customise the color of the pixel grid, e.g. to increase the contrast when doing intricate line work.

Agreed. I’m surprised there is no option to choose the colour or at least the opacity of the pixel grid. I’m finding it extremely pale when viewed on a MacBook Pro 15" screen at max DPI.
Based on a screenshot and reading the colour in Photoshop it’s looking like it’s 5%, but on this monitor (with default Apple settings) it’s looking more like 1%. So any ability to bump up that contrast a bit would be deeply appreciated.
