To try to give more context to developers, we ended up creating “meta” designs, designs for annotations, personas, data model, naming conventions, etc.

We put these into a “Developer Context” frame that can be hidden or shown. Yet, it’s clunky and gets in the way a lot. If designers had access to Dev Mode and could design WITHIN it, then these designs and their components would only show up in Dev Mode and designers wouldn’t have to navigate around them.
