Currently to create a single variable, one has to click the Create variable button and then click again to select a variable type. This is two clicks. As you can imagine, after creating a handful of variables this gets tedious fast.

Given there seems to be sufficient real estate to add dedicated buttons for each variable type it be great if one could just click a single button to create a variable.

Better yet, it’d be great if there was a keyboard shortcut for creating each variable type or some hotkey that automatically creates the same type of variable right after the previous one.
