Thanks for reaching out to the community! Currently Figma cannot access local fonts downloaded to your iPad. Accessing local fonts is only supported on computers running Windows or MacOS. For more information, please check our article: Access local fonts on your computer.
For now, we’d suggest using Google fonts served in Figma if you prefer working on an iPad.

No updates, since Figma has never been optimized to work on the iPad.

I’ve updated this topic into a feature request though, and you can vote for a fully functioning iPad Figma app here: Let us design on tablets/mobile (Fully featured Figma for iOS and Android)

It would be great to have the option to upload and use custom fonts directly in the browser, especially on iPad.

This feature is really needed for SMM managers using Figma Buzz, since we often share editable templates and clients ask for specific fonts.

Right now, without Font Helper, it’s impossible to use local fonts in the web version, which makes collaboration harder.

Please consider adding browser font support — it would make workflow on iPad much smoother 💪
