Handoff is a set of free and open-source, end-to-end workflow tools for design and development teams looking to streamline their use of Figma design systems.
We’ve just released a Figma plugin that allows you to easily export your styles and components as tokens. Use it to annotate your design system, marking components that are ready for use. Choose which attributes should be extracted from each component layer. Preview foundational and component design tokens in CSS and configure their naming conventions.
You can export all the tokens and generate a static design documentation site via CLI.
We believe the Figma community will benefit from an open-source project like Handoff, and a collaborative approach to the challenges of design token usage. We’d really love to hear your feedback!
