Dear Figma, could you set the default text color to the darkest black available in the page or library? This would save us from having to change the text color every time we type. Thanks.

Figma should create a prototyping option called “Loop,” which generates an infinite loop. This feature would greatly assist in creating infinite loops in prototyping without the need to create components, thus reducing time.

Figma Slides reduce my powerpoint frustrations tremendously, but they come with a few usability challenges. The slides have a general center-align and align-with-item snap to them, but getting better auto-layouts and more sophisticated templates would be a huge asset. Clear UI to create or save templates would be great, as well as live color changes to-template. If I change all of the colors in a template, having to go through my slides and reselect my template colors is redundant. Overall I would love to use Figma slides more than I am able to. A huge request is finding a strong integration between Figma Slides and Figma wireframes or Prototypes. Jumping straight from slide into prototype, or being able to have a natively stretched-to-fit wireframe in my presentation would immediately create adherence to Figma Slides over Google/Microsoft variants.

Hello, As far as I’m aware, we can only check/uncheck snap to pixel for the entire Figma document. This is not good practice for me as I like to keep it ‘on’ and keep everything flush to a whole number without silly decimal points such as 0.497. However, in some instance’s this is far from ideal too; for example, if I have an icon set and I’m trying to align icons vectors to the center point within their parent frame, sometimes this necessitates a decimal point, then I uncheck the option and forget, only later to realise my file now has decimals in odd places. So, perhaps a good idea is to create toggle on the right side panel next to the height and width boxes that controls (and indicates) snap to pixel for that component set. Moreover, would also be good rather than just to toggle ‘on’ or ‘off’, to add a third option: on, half, off; the half option allowing .5 increments. Would be handy.

Context I often work with files containing multiple pages, each of which I want to export individually. When exporting a page’s frames to a PDF, the default filename is based on the Figma file’s name, not the page’s name. While this can be changed, I find myself needing to do it every time. Proposal I recommend defaulting the export name to the page name, giving users more control over the PDF export process. Why This Makes Sense: You can’t export a PDF of the entire file, only individual pages within it. Each page serves a different purpose, and the file name is usually too general to be useful as a PDF name. Users can name each page with a file-like format, allowing for quick, easy, and consistent PDF exports.

As a user, it would be nice to be able to sort layers alphabetically or numerically. In addition, being able to also solo layers would be very helpful.

As an Admin in the Figma pro plan, I’d like to be notified on Slack immediately when someone in my team requests an upgrade to the editor in Figma or FigJam. Figma’s native notifications and email notifications often get missed, and these requests are often time-sensitive. Currently, only File-level comments & mentions show up in my Slack notifications, ideally, all kinds of Notifications should be shown in Slack.

New feature request regarding inviting new people a Figma organization. Current way of working The Figma Admin adds a new person - usually a guest - to our Figma organization using their email address. The guest accepts the invitation to the Figma organization Figma Admin assigns edit seats to the new guest - Figma and/or Dev Mode or FigJam The guest can finally edit their work files In this journey, there is an unnecessary delay due to the fact that the Figma Admin has to intervene twice. This delay represents a lot of time at the end - we’re talking about several dozen guest additions per year. Ideal way of working The Figma Admin adds a person to our Figma organization and assigns editing rights by default from the People panel when it’s in Pending stage The guest accepts the invitation in the Figma organization and the seats pre-assigned to them are automatically activated The guest can edit their work files It would make life infinitely easier on the Figma Admin

Figma recently introduced new feature for underline, But there is one problem which I have noticed during work. What do you think about this?

Am i the only one experiencing autolayout random behavior? Now sometimes it automatically changes the height of some components to 1px, or the autolayout widht to fixed, not hug. It worked perfectly before the new UI Rollout. Figma Desktop App version 124.6.5

Can we just go back to the simple component we had before? The preview inside the new color pricker is so energy/calculation consuming for an opeation that is so small and quick and easy.

Please, for my sanity, increase the width of the line/area where we can increase/decrease the width of the Files/Assets pane. The distance from scrolling, to the draggable area, and to the ruler is about 3 pixels which requires a high level of mouse accuracy to access the 1px middle draggable area.

Currently you can only delete one comment at a time which can be time taxing if you have had a lot of collaborations throughout the months and have a ton of comments on the file. It just looks messy with all the comments. so i would like a feature to basically bulk select and delete a bunch of comments at a time.

Would be cool to be able to replace a design element with a component, in the same way as the “Switch Component” dropdown. Would be a great Quality of life improvement

Paterns and why: The reason to add patern function is so it’s easier to create repeating shapes without lots of copy-pasting. It would work by importing an svg that would serve as a “tile” and then customizing by defining size, rotation and offset. the ability to create patterns would help creating things like: Desinging product packages Fill white space And others.

Is there any way to use a “Color Style” in a gradient? I know I can make a “Color Style” that is a gradient, but I want to create a solid color that can be used both in solid fills and gradient fills.

When I have a prototype that is embedded in my portfolio (or another website), in the flows panel, I see all of the flows that I have prototyped. However the embedded prototype view does not have the checkmark next to the active flow, like the regular prototype mode does. This can make it hard to know what flow I am looking at, as there is no other indicator

In Illustrator or PS, when editing text, I can stretch the text freely with the select tool and it is still editable. I like designing flyers in Figma and getting the custom kind of stretching is impossible without keeping it editable. Would love for this feature to exist - thanks!

We often run quizzes at our company with team members using Microsoft Teams, so we love the idea of interactivity with Figma Slides. The only problem is that when we share the presentation link for them to interact, the audience have the ability to navigate the slides, which means they can see the answers. I think there are probably some use cases where this is handy, but for this case, I think it would be great to have a setting that means that we can disable the ability for the audience to navigate and have them only see and interact with the page that we are on. Alternatively, another way that would help, is if there is a way that we can disable certain pages from appearing in the audience link, then we can hide those from view and they can only see those when we show them in the shared screen on teams. Either/or would be great but we’re finding much use for the interactivity as it is as the moment. Thanks 🙂

When there are many tabs opened, it’s hard to tell which tab is design file, FigJam file, or prototype file. The current icons are not strong visual differentiator, not easy to scan

We use a lot of gifs in our slides and you can’t insert the link to a gif in Figma slides.

Currently, a prototype displayed in the iPhone app on any model with a notch (e.g. iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 13) goes right to the top of the display so that the top of the prototype is hidden by the notch. Prototypes should be restricted to iPhone’s ‘safe area’ and not go into the areas at the top of the display like the notch or ‘Dynamic Island’. Hey there, I just wanted to submit some feedback regarding a recent update to the top left of Figma on desktop (mac). This update places the minimize, close, and other functions behind an additional click. Truly, this change feels fundamentally negative because all mac apps follow the existing paradigm of showing the close, minimize, and maximize functions in the top left. With this recent update, this makes me scramble to minimize the view during presentations where I’m needing to share my screen. What is the intention behind this update and isn’t there a better spot in the UI to join in these types of additional functions for split screen mechanics? This feels like a completely unnecessary change.

I frequently work with high-fidelity prototypes, which often involve complex interactions and connections. Managing these connections across multiple screens can sometimes feel cumbersome and time-consuming. A feature that would significantly enhance the workflow is having Figma display all input and output connections for a selected screen in the right sidebar. This would make it easier to visualize, review, and manage the prototype’s navigation and interaction flows.

Very often I find myself taking screenshots on my phone, doing research, etc, and then I’ll have to send those images through slack, email, whatsapp, whatever, so I can download them on my laptop (I don’t have an iphone…) to finally import them into Figma… A real pain… It’d be so nice to have a “Send to Figma” as a share option…
