Can we look into a feature where you allow the users to mirror a particular screen in full screen mode.As I am using a different monitor to extend my poreview windows, I would like top click on the desired frames and display to quickly on my extended desktop monitor. Likewise it alllows me to preview my ongoing design in real time. This is just a suggestion, if you guys can implement this.
Hey everyone! 👋While working on multiple Figma files and projects recently, I had a thought:Wouldn't it be amazing if Figma allowed us to group open tabs – just like how Google Chrome lets you group browser tabs?Think about it: You’re juggling 10+ Figma files – components, design systems, live projects, brainstorm boards, etc. Having the ability to visually group tabs by project, workflow stage, or type (e.g., assets, prototypes) would massively boost productivity and reduce visual clutter. Maybe even color-code them or collapse/expand tab groups? 🔥 This small feature could make a huge difference for designers, especially in larger teams or during fast-paced sprints. 🗣️ Let’s Discuss: Do you also feel overwhelmed by too many open tabs in Figma? How would tab grouping improve your workflow? What would be your ideal way to organize Figma tabs? Let’s get the community’s voice heard – maybe the Figma team will notice! 🙌
Hi everyone,Today I discovered that in Prototype Action > Overlay, you can manually move a component and have it always positioned relative to the main component. This is super useful for dropdowns, context menus, and displaying their respective lists. My problem/Feature Request:The prototype works great, but my components live in a design system and are published for other designers to use.In this example, if a designer insert an Instance of the ContextMenu component into their file, there’s no way to access or override the properties of the list (MenuList). Is there a way to do this that I just don't know about? Or would it make sense to offer every overlay component (MenuList) as an exposed component within the main component (ContextMenu)? What do you think? The red stroked container show my suggestion
Seems like now Figma “find and replace” feature doesn’t include embeded links. It’ll be very helpful if you can include links too, by providing “links” filter option. Please, add it. Thank you.
Might there be scope to prioritize the development of a Chinese-language version of Figma? Such a localization initiative would not only streamline operations for Chinese-speaking users but also significantly augment productivity across our team. I trust this proposal warrants consideration, as it aligns with the goal of fostering a more inclusive and efficient design ecosystem.
When I am building a flow chart in figjam, I use different shapes for different reasons (this is a common pattern in flowcharts, like the cylinder shape represents a database). I notice that when I select a shape, the next time I want to select one the shape has moved to the top of the list. It seems that they are ordered by how often I use each one. This is super inconvenient, because it makes it difficult to know where to select each shape:(a) I can’t even visually categorize the shapes (if I’m looking for a cylinder, I’d expect all cylinder options to be listed together) (b) I can’t find the option I just selected, because it’s now moved based on how often I’ve used it.
Dear Figma (Yuhki Yamashita)I have a few suggestions on how to make Figma better for non-designers. These are not advanced AI-based automated UI design features, but rather basic improvements to enhance the user experience of a tool that is the source of truth for some of the best user interfaces designed in the world.1. Consumption View: Create a user-friendly view for non-coders and non-designers, such as PMs, Marketing, and Leadership. The current experience feels like being in an airplane cockpit with controls at all four edges of the screen.2. Easier Exploration: Finding specific explorations can be tedious. Implementing a built-in categorization of pages into three categories—Ready, Explorations, and Storyboard—will reduce variability in how organized one designer's workspace is compared to another. Additionally, a simple Hide & Unhide feature would be beneficial for preserving "Graveyard Slides" with useful content.3. Past Files Accessibility: Identifying past files based on
I need to be able to manage who can comment in the Figma file. I am currently unable to remove comment access from a user who abuses them, causing my email to be peppered with email notifications and Figma files to be constantly over commented with non-design notes. Please add removing comment access as a user-level permission option.
I'm trying to make an invoice template for our FoF community, and noticed that the print sizes available in Figma Buzz are kinda lacking. We already have non-US specific print assets defined as Frame presets in Figma Design, can those be ported into Figma Buzz as well?
Using figma as a developer since 2021 also managing the billing on behalf of the company. The payment require for devs is stupid idea. Get payment for designing thats fine but why for devs? It does not make sense! Time to move on!
Hi Figma team😗, There's one major limitation that continues to slow things down and limits the creative workflow of designers: the inability to paste or add custom content directly inside a component instance unless every possible content area is pre-defined with slots. It would be incredibly helpful to have a feature like a "Freeform Slot" or "Smart Slot" — a flexible area within a component that allows us to insert or paste content without having to set up slots in advance. This would drastically reduce the need for overly complex component structures and make prototyping much more fluid, especially when dealing with layouts that need occasional overrides or additions. The current limitations make it harder to work fast and keep components modular and scalable. A more dynamic, open content area inside components would give designers the best of both worlds: consistency and flexibility. Thanks again for all the great work! I hope this one makes the roadmap!
Figma make is only available to pro users common figa atleast give us a free trial! : (
When using the grid, it would be helpful if we could change the color of the strokes or fills per row or column. other wise we can not control if the horizontal lines are different color than vertical
Has anyone found a way to have a color variable for bulk create in Figma Buzz? For example, I have an ad. I want to make 5 variations with different background images. I also want each ad to have a different font and button color. Do we think there will be an update down the road to make these edits in the google sheet for bulk create or will it need to be done manually after creation? Am I missing something? Thanks!
Hi Figma,Could the right panel stay fixed when the left panel is hidden? I'm not sure why it switches from fixed to floating. Also, when I zoom in on an element with the left panel hidden, parts of its area gets hidden behind the floating right panel. Is that the expected behavior?I've attached a video below to add more context.
I want to be able to have an effect that throws an reflection of the object/group and want to be able to customize it with “3d” effects, blur and gradial decay. the same is for shadows, i want to be able to have multiple types of shadows. This would be usefull in a lot of places, like slideshows, animations, presentations, and generally. (a plugin does not work as a replacement of any kind.)
when looking at a project/folder of files in Figma it’d be awesome if there was a local search/find/filter to narrow down the list of files in this project/folder (not a global search) by typing a few characters. Today ⌘f does not start a global search so maybe that keyboard shortcut could be used for this? another idea: when you start a global search while looking at a project/folder, automatically apply the `in:` filter for the project/folder you're currently viewing Why: I know a file exists in this project/folder I’m currently looking at but it might be buried really deep (if filtered by “Last modified”, which is the default sort option) and global search may not find it immediately (since it only lists the top 5 file results and then you need to the “see all results”). The currently viewed project/folder does not seem to influence/prioritize the search. There was a similar idea shared as a comment by Miguel Solorio to borrow GitHub’s “in this repo” filter during a global search.
I love the radial repeat tool! Please consider including this feature in the Figma Design interface, it is a disjointed experience to have to switch to Draw to access this specific feature. Thank you.
The color picker at the top-right of the Highlighter menu doesn’t appear to work. Clicking on it doesn’t open the color palette. Works with the pencil tool.
Currently polls require being logged into a Figma account. There’s no way to present with Figma Slides to a large audience and use the polls feature with anonymous people such as giving a talk for a group mentorship session on ADPList. I’d like to see an option to allow anonymous voting and an option to show a QR code for people to quickly vote on their phones while viewing a presentation you are giving.
With the latest update in May 2025, the new Grid tool is a fantastic addition — thank you so much for constantly improving the product!I’d love to suggest one enhancement: please consider adding an option to size rows and columns based on their content, similar to how “Hug contents” works in Auto Layout. This feature would be extremely helpful when designing tables, photo galleries, and many other layout types. Thanks again for your great work!
当前的figjam里的表格太丑了,宽高比很难调,也没办法合并单元格,现在自己用矩形拼装起来的
I use branching to update the component library. Because we are adjusting multiple components simultaneously, and some take longer to design or there are simply longer breaks (holidays, prioritization, etc.), it could be very painful to merge changes from the main file to the branch. Especially when the changes are not all loaded at the same time. Now, I have to click on one conflict, wait x minutes to load another, select it, wait again, etc. This process is highly ineffective and consumes a large amount of time. It’s even worse when, after 1 hour of checking the file and resolving conflicts, I receive a message saying that the merge failed. What I propose is to load all the conflicts in one go - even if it takes a longer time - and be able after to go through changes afterward without lagging. Ideally the progress bar would show approximate time or percentage. The ‘Resolve all’ button is not helpful because I want to keep some changes from the branch.
EwwCan we have a proper icon please? One that doesn’t look like there’s something wrong with it.
