Whenever we copy text from one place and paste it into another text frame, it carries over its own formatting (size, style, etc.). But I want the pasted text to automatically adopt the formatting of the destination text frame. I saw that C# isn’t currently available in the list of recognizable Code Block languages. If possible, adding it would be greatly appreciated!

Please include REM as a mode of measurement as it is becoming more and more used by developers. Having to manually convert the measurement is so tedious.

With the admin updates that came out on March 11, there is one new feature that we would like removed or able to be turned off by an org admin.When a user requests an upgrade in Figma, this new feature allows the user temporary access to the functionality of that seat for 3 days (unless the admin replies to the upgrade request sooner). QOL feature request.I will never want AI in my workflow and it’s just kept being marketed to me which takes me out of the flow. It also gets very tedious to block these features one by one with a browser extension.It would be a very useful and friendly feature to make Figma account fully AI-free with a single toggle. I’d make it up to my team members if they want to use AI, so I wouldn’t make this a team/org level setting.

Hi Figma. First of all, thank you so much for introducing nested instances feature! It’s a very good feature for a team that handle design systems. It gives our consumer a clear clarification what they can do with components without the need to dig deep into the layers of the component. There’s one thing I think it can help this feature to be a lil bit clearer on the right panel. It would be best if Figma can add a separator between each of the parent group and have an indentation for the children nested instances. With this, it’s much easier to identify the grouping, especially on complicated components with many nested instances. Please refer to the image attached.

The drop down menu should show all my figma make files so i can easily swap between my projects. as a designer it would save a lot of time and efforts for me.  small suggestion but it will be highly impactful.

I’d like to suggest one update that i believe will help non-designer folks to achieve more with Figma Buzz without additional training/internal guides inside the company.The recently added Figma Buzz support of component variants and swaps is great, but it’s often not super obvious which parts of templates are actually swappable without diving into the template structure & layers. So we often need to rely on internal documentation, or note frames outside of the template to add hints where folks can click to swap/change things.What would be great if in the “Edit content” panel along with text and image fields we’d have a list of changeable components (I.E Components that are not locked in the template master). In that way people who are using templates can discover changeable parts instantly in the same way as they discover and edit regular parts like text and images.

If I add an instance of a component that in its master form is set to fill, and I am adding it to a frame with auto-layout, I want that instance to be automatically set to fill. That instances are always added as fixed width when the master is set to fill is an annoying inconvenience, especially when nested components also get set to fixed, thus requiring a whole process of fixing widths.

I get nervous having edit-access to a Figma file sometimes, especially as an engineer. I don’t want to accidentally make a change to something in the file. It would be great if there was a way to switch myself to a read-only mode (temporarily) to avoid accidentally breaking/changing something. For now, I’ve just been creating a new branch. If I change something on the branch, then I don’t need to worry.

Whatever I try, I can’t seem to work with .mov or .webm videos with transparent background on Figma. Whenever I upload them, I get a black background. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a workaround for this?
