I’d love to request enhancements on Figma AI featuresfor image generation:allow a global setting to add watermark/disclaimer to an image to mark this as generated by AI and not meant for actual live applications or sites.for copy generationrephrasing features can be as is. when text are completely generated from scratch: allow some user control to mark it with a different color/other forms to visually distinguish what’s generated by AI use casefor companies with strict restrictions on what’s allowed on image and copy on their digital products (e.g. for medical or legal regulations), this allows reviewers and stakeholder who are looking the file to quickly distinguish what’s NOT for production.
It would be difficult but id love to see glass pieces merging around like apples buttons
Is there a way (by code or other way) to avoid the safe areas in the mobile version?
We’re currently exploring how we can integrate Figma Buzz into our educational resource creation workflow. We’re excited by Buzz’s potential, especially its responsive design and design quality, and are reaching out to share our feedback and some critical feature requests to help us adopt Figma more fully across our content pipeline. 💡 Our Use Case: Automated Resource GenerationOur ideal workflow looks like this: Create Figma templates with defined text/image placeholders (e.g. "Title", "Question", "Image"). Programmatically replace these placeholders via an API using content from our backend. Export the resulting designs as individual PDFs, ready to attach to educational videos. This would allow our content team to generate polished, on-brand learning materials at scale - directly from our curation tools - with minimal manual input. 🔍 Key Gaps and Friction PointsFeature Status Notes REST API for generation ❌ No current support for content generation via API. Please make a notchless version of the prototype preview for the macbook pro 16". the notch makes Figma completely useless for website designs as it rams into the design. And that’s not the behaviour apps have under MacOS. It leaves space to hide the notch and give you a rectangular viewport.
I have found out that figma allows you to add links to text in the form of “mailto:example@example.com”, which allows to add a link to email addresses. However, when I try to input a link in the form of “tel:1234567890” it fails and the “Invalid link” notification comes up. I believe that this is not the indeded behaviour of the feature and it should allow users to input any kind of urls, not just web and email urls.
Ability to have image variables. E.g. for a logo you can have different variations for each mode without having to use the boolean feature and hide/show the correct image
Would be great to have: Paste (Import) a component, frame, etc. from Figma Make changes to that component or frame in Figma → Changes are synchronized with FigJam (possibly with a review)
Okay, simple request… Make me a Bluesky logo. The AI’s 1st attempt… Is that supposed to be a weird croissant?! Try again. The AI’s 2nd attemptOkay… Improvement… But like… Better…?The AI’s 3rd attemptthe hail is that?! A heart shaped with legs?! It also looked like _something else._ But… Still not the logo. The AI’s 4th attemptat this point, the other 2 versions are way much better than this. The AI’s 5th attemptYou’ve reached your current limityour credits will reset the next day, upgrade, blah, blah, blah.well, damn… The AI couldn’t even make a good Bluesky logo.
Problem: Often Fimga mirror does not connect, lags or disconnects while mirroring. Idea: If it will help solve the connection and lagging issues, could we consider enabling Figma mirror to connect with a phone cable and not only wireless connection?
As a UX Architect, I actively advocate for the importance of user experience (UX) and project-specific UX design within our cross-national project teams. Project specific UX designs play a crucial role in fostering a shared understanding across the team, helping everyone align on the product’s goals and the value it aims to deliver. One strategy I use to support this alignment is the standardized organization of UX designs on a Figma page. I’ve developed a standardized layout for structuring content on each Figma page. This layout includes: 1) Context of use, user requirements and insights, and identified pain points (left column). 2) Concept variations and the selected concept (middle column(s)). 3) UX designs, often presented in multiple versions (one column per version) (right column(s)).To maintain a professional and consistent layout, I’ve manually created a grid system using Figma rulers (see attached screenshot). However, these rulers are fragile and cannot be locked, which often
I had this issue where I want to hover on a drop down icon, be able to go through the options and still close the drop down without attaching a close button. I wanted the overlay to close when my mouse leave but it was still stuck. SolutionAfter linking my dropdown button to the content I wanted using (mouse enter effect), I clicked on the add interaction on the content body, dragged it to the close overlay, changed the ‘on click action’ to ‘mouse leave’
Halo semua desainer hebat!
I have a bulleted list in my Figma file and tried to copy into Monday.com but the formatting isn’t pasting in. It comesout onone levelbut at the rightline breaks Instead of Coming out like this bulleted list So far my only fix is to re-bullet my list in Monday, or just make my lists in another place. I’ve already tried pasting into Word and using cmd+shift+c and cmd+option+c, nothing works. :( Please please please add a way to copy and keep the formatting.
Hi Figma team! 👋I’d love to suggest a feature that could really improve how we use components — especially for dynamic interface elements like tabs.Let’s say I create a Tabs component that includes several Tab components inside (which are also components). By default, my Tabs component might include 4 tabs. But depending on the use case, I might need 3, 5, or more.Currently, to adjust the number of tabs, I have to detach the instance or manually modify the structure, which breaks the link to the original component and makes design maintenance harder. It would be amazing to have the ability to define certain components as dynamic, meaning they could accept a flexible number of children within instances — something like repeatable slots or dynamic containers. That way, we could add or remove child components directly in an instance, without detaching it.This would be especially useful for building scalable and reusable design systems, particularly for components like: Tabs Steps Acco
I’d like the ability to highlight to bulk select and delete multiple annotations. Currently, when I’m moving a duplicated frame from point A to B it maintains all the annotations, which I then have to manually delete if they’re not applicable (which they’re often not.)
I’d like to use border radius to make a frame into a circle by just entering 50% (preferably as a variable). That way, if the frame is made larger at some point later, it would still be a circle. I do have a workaround for now, which is just to put a really large border radius value, but this seems like a hacky way to do it.
Hi there,I was handing over a component (Toggle) and got feedback that they can see only SVG in the DEV mode and they cannot properly inspect the element and especially the inner parts (the circle) of the component. The only way to prevent it is to add auto layout to it. As I learned by testing. I checked with my other colleagues and they have the same issue. I don't necessarily want to add auto layout to everything and SVG is useless to DEVs.Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.
I’ve recently started building with Figma Sites and loving the flexibility so far. However, I noticed there’s currently no straightforward way to add micro-interactions or smooth animations—something tools like Jitter do really well.I wanted to ask: Is there any current way to add animations or transitions (entry animations, hover effects, etc.) natively or via plugins/integrations? If not, is this something the Figma team is planning to introduce in future updates?
Hi Figma and communityI’m currently in the midst of setting up our typography as variables, and one thing I’m really struggling with / frustrated by is the inability to setup lineheight as an ratio or percentage, and being able to either mathmatically do calculations with existing variables or having font size as rem.The reasons this is / will be a longterm frustration are:It makes the conversation with developers hard, either we have to calculate the rem everytime, as we designers have the pixel and the devs have the rem The same conversation goes with line height btw If we want to change a font-size we have to change the lineheight as well, rather than it being a dynamical product. If we want change our font-sizes, lineheight etc…, for a breakpoint (or a theme we cannot do this dynamically, we have to do it manually for each style that we have.
Hi Figma team,I love the new Make functionality. It’s a great leap in AI-powered prototyping and really helps kickstart new ideas. One feature I’d love to see is the ability to export a Make file as a full Figma design file. This should include all frames, components, and structure so the generated output can be used as a real starting point in the design workflow. It would also be amazing if the export included notes or reasoning behind layout decisions, interaction flows, component use and general functionality logic. That added context would make it much easier to understand and iterate on what the AI generated. This would really close the loop by turning an AI-generated concept into something editable, sharable, and production-ready.Thanks for pushing the boundaries. Really looking forward to what’s next.Best,Alessandro
Hi there,I'm using an .xlsx spreadsheet in my Figma Buzz template. I link all the fields and it updates and creates new art (yay) but the spreadsheet disappears so if i have additional files to make or want to update content, I have to start over with linking field. Can you help me understand: How to correctly link or embed a spreadsheet so changes can be synced? If I'm missing a step to update or refresh the data after editing the file? Thanks in advance!
I’d like to suggest a feature improvement for Figma based on a recurring pain point I’ve encountered. When creating a modal (popup) component, I often need to display the background content underneath a semi-transparent mask. Currently, this means I have to manually copy content from other Frames into the modal component. If the original background content changes, I have to go back, delete the outdated version, and replace it manually—this becomes inefficient and error-prone. I’ve tried making the entire page Frame a component and then inserting an instance behind the modal, but this approach feels clunky and unintuitive. What I’m hoping for is a more elegant solution: a dedicated “Backdrop Container” or “Background Mirror” feature within modals. This container would let me configure a specific Frame and automatically mirror its content beneath the modal mask—keeping it synced with the source and reducing repetitive work.
Subject. This is beyond annoying. You guys should stop with these dark patterns
