what about having lines to represent if the colors are accessible or not in color picker, so it’s easy for designers to check for accessibility before even choosing the colors, and when getting colors from styles there a filter in the dropdown for accessible ones

Start showing the slides of a presentation template when the user hovers on the card instead of having to open the page for the template in order to see how the other slides look

Hello, It would be great if I can add scrum team members to files or pages so that when something is marked “ready for dev” they will get updates. likewise, when something changes from “ready for dev” to “design has changed since marked ready for dev” and back again… This way, the team can be notified of changes while they are working on things… since most of our dev teams do not “live” in Figma, but rather Jira tickets or other tools to do their day to day.

When you delete an element in a nested structure, you lose all selection. This means if you want to continue working around that level, you have go dive again to that level (double-click, double click, double, click, double click…) Deleting an element should auto select the immediate upper level to stay where we’re currently working Or auto select the previous element in that hierarchy maybe, or the next one. But staying around there, not going back to root level.

Currently, the Flow Starting Point feature allows us to set a starting position in a flow, which is helpful. However, I wonder if we could go further by adding Flow Checkpoints. Here’s how this could be beneficial: Proposed Flow Checkpoints Segment-Based Notes: Checkpoints could allow us to attach notes or information relevant to specific segments of a flow. For example, we could add context or background info not visually represented but helpful for anyone exploring the prototype, giving more depth to the user journey. Navigational Anchors: As users navigate through the prototype, these checkpoints could act as “milestones” that update when reaching certain screens. I find it ridiculous that when I had a design incorporating ‘plus darker’ image editing, Figma didn’t notify me in realtime that it wouldn’t appear when i attempted to export as a PDF. Instead I had to waste 30m to figure out if if was a memory issue, Figma image quality issue, PDF issue, etc. Silly. Tell Users beforehand that they won’t be getting the export they expect and why (and, hell, maybe even give a tip about how to achieve the goal the user is trying to do. For example in this case, suggest exporting as a 4x PNG and importing that image & then exporting as a PDF.)

When sharing prototype links with internal team members or clients, we find that the URLS are often long and not user friendly. Have you guys considered making short urls or user-friendly sharing links?

It would be really great if can add tools like Eraser, Pencil tool supports to illustrating(current one does not support when customizing existing elements). Basically tools from Illustrator. Figma is way more easy than using Adobe illustrator, but with the current tools its limited.

It would be extremely helpful if we could lock and/or turn off certain controls in the properties panel when needed. Also, I would love to have more control over which bubble properties I want to surface - rather than all the properties associated with a component bubbling up together, it would be so helpful to be able to select the exact individual list items you want to bubble up. We have a very complex dynamic template system that I’m building with a lot of nested components and variant properties, and while I need a lot of flexibility to allow for incremental changes, I want to limit what shows up in the properties panel as much as possible at each level so I can limit the decisions the end user has to make and accurately illustrate the possibilities and limitations that will be in our end product.

it’s different from just using history. we are working on a file that was ongoing for years, some of the frames are old, some are new. we want to see what is the age of each screen to understand the timeline of our work. we could scroll back in time and see, but then we would had to jump between times, trying to discover and guess when a screen was created, rather then the possibility of just clicking on it and see the date of the creation

Problem I have several nested project files that I am trying to organize as the team scales Solution Would be cool to batch Rename them similar to how layers are batch renamed Would anyone else find this useful?

Sometimes I would like to open several files, and so far I haven’t found an efficient way to do so. Can we get an option to select files in a project and open them by either hitting Return or Right-click>Open?

Maybe this is addressed in the UI3, but one thing that causes me a bit of difficulty for some time is how hard to view some dark components are in the dark mode assets panel. Especially icons with dark color as a default.

After changing the theme to dark I have issue with component preview in Assets panel. The component background turned dark and dark components are not visible. Do you have the same issue?

I would like to propose a feature that could greatly enhance the prototyping experience for designers, developers, product managers, and clients alike. Currently, Figma offers prototype previews in both the editor window and on mobile devices, which is incredibly helpful. However, it would be even more beneficial if we could create an interactive phone object directly within the workspace that could be set up to display a specific user flow. This feature would provide a more immersive and realistic preview experience, making it easier for stakeholders to understand and evaluate design concepts.

Figma introduce invert colors feature on selecting any colored object

I am currently making stickies in figma. I am coming from miro where their font type size scales to fill out to the extents of the sticky note. This results in a more pleasing to look at design, it feels more natural. I would love to so “Auto” as a font type size option. Not only would it look better, it would also help with issues where the amount of text I need to write is greater than can fit in the area. Does dev mode auto-detect color contrast issues?

Hello, Few months ago, I think Figma team said they were working on a “table” feature for FigJam. Do you know where I can find more information about this? Also do you know if this feature will also be added to Figma? I know there is a way to create table in Figma with “Auto layout”. But if this is made in a component (part of a Design System Library) and a user would like to add row or column within an instance, it starts to be complex. That’s why I am looking for a “real” table feature in Figma. Thanks in advance for your help

I am using variants to enable dark and light modes for example and it works automatically for almost everything except for overlays. I have am user flow with an overlay menu that opens when I click on a button or icon. I want to display how to shwitch between light/dark modes. So when Im in light mode and open the overlay menu (light) and then switch to dark mode and then open this menu again its still in light mode and I dont see a way to change this using the “Change to” nor “Set Variable” options in the “On click” prototyping option. How can I simulate this consistently without having to use two different menus (one for each mode)?

I do not want my file to be copied. I just want the file that I share to export that can then also be exported. I need more options. If I create a export the is possible.

When I resize an image, I want it to stretch by default not crop: I know I can go here and set this setting to “crop” to get the behavior I want. (despite the counter intuitive name of “crop”) It’s weird that Figma’s default image behavior is different than nearly all other software. And it is an efficiency drag on a high traffic workflow. Please let us choose the default behavior for image fill.

At the moment, you can select the frame tool and click in a frame and it’ll add a frame, but when frames are nested and not easily selectable with the frame tool, it would be advantageous to be able to quick insert a frame into a selected frame on your artboard or in the layers panel One way of resolving this could be to add it to the right click menu or into Object on the main menu, similar to “Frame selection” option

The main issue with Figma Slides is that you never know if all images and videos have loaded before you start presenting to the client. Depending on the wifi connection you might end up with videos that don’t play and low res images. It would be best to include the assets in the initial loading and maybe return some messages to inform the user. A good example is CodeSandBox approach when it starts up a server.
