Please understand that my FigPal (Laza Kostić) needs to roam freely! It pains me to see him bound to my cursor. As my pal’s pal, I want to have the ability to release him and let him crawl freely across the canvas (stopping occasionally to graze on grass, lollypops, and other food necessary for survival of FigPals. He may occasionally come to say “hi” while I’m working on my designs and I can call him back home when it’s time to sleep.

Before the new pricing model, the “People” panel allowed admins to selec t a couple of users, and modify their access & permissions in one go. This was a very practical and obvious behaviour — but it’s now gone! Users have to be processed one by one, the only batch options is to remove them entirely from the space, or copy their email.This makes admin work really tedious and needlessly time-consuming. Please bring back this simple feature, thanks.PS the UI itself to select all users with a specific Seat type is also way too complex. You need to click Filter, select the Seat type and then apply changes. Why not allow user to just click on the big icons on the top right to filter in one click? 

Great job with Figma Slides guys, but, why rounded corners for slides? It’s extremely annoying, it’s hard to design like this. I don’t want to be forced to design with round corners. Could you please remove them? Thank you!

Left Sidebar (slide view) in Figma Slides doesn’t have any scroll bar. It might be fine if you work on you laptop with a trackpad but I have a iMac + Wacom Tablet set up with no trackpad and I can’t scroll through slides. I need to click every single slide to move up or down.. I can’t find any setting for this in Figma. There should be one. It’s a basic feature of any interface.My system settings are: Show scroll bars - Always.  

Our dev team love the Focus View mode, but it is somewhat cumbersome to go back and forth between the normal ‘File’ view to the Focus View. To switch you either have to click the arrow, which either brings you back to the Activity Feed or the File, or use the 3 dots + clicking on ‘Inspect on page’. What about a simple toggle switch between Focus and File view? Why hide ‘Inspect on page’ behing this three dots if there’s only two options in there which have very different purpose:  

 Hey Figma Team, Community. I love the new variables system and the ability to change appearances. However, I came across a reoccurring problem in the last weeks: People with only view rights, are not able to change the appearance of a component or frame. This was something we designers weren't aware about. Is it possible, or maybe already in scope to allow people with view rights only, to change the appearance mode? I think this might really help and keep files slim and clean without making lots of copies and changing appearances modes.Let me know your thoughts, thanksJonas

When the title of a page is wider than the column it gets an ellipsis. Right now the only way to see the full title is to edit the title since there is a limit on how wide you can make the sidebar.Please just add a tooltip to titles that are wider than the column, IE when they get ellipsis.

I think it will be very nice to edit files on the iPad.

In Previous (old UI) of Figma many things was clear and straightforward.Here is a small example from Pages list on the left sidebarProblem: Now on UI3 the title “Pages” doesn’t look like a title, sometimes I am  confusing it with the list. Because in some of project I give a  name “Pages” to my page. So first Pages should look like a title not a part of the list Second problem of UI3 is no checkmark icon on selected page (on left sidebar). Previous (old UI) had a  checkmark on current page.  But on UI3 it has just background which is same as hover color.  There are much more things which was better than new UI3. Comparing UI  

It has always been my ambition to become a nurse, but when it came the day of the HESI examination, I freaked out. I simply could not figure out where to start and felt so much pressure. One evening, I was browsing and came across a HESI exam help site with practice exams and ideas for studying. I thought maybe I should try this. I started to follow the suggestions step by step, and my confidence built. When the day of the exam finally arrived, I was nervous, but I was prepared. A few days after the completion of the exam, I was able to view my results - I passed! I was relieved, and it proved to me that with the right help and a lot of work, anything you wish to achieve may be obtainable. Now I am one step closer to my goal and more motivated than before.

I’ve been trying Figma and Figjam to replace Milanote or Miro Board and it’s close but not quite there yet, especially for using video in either Figma or Figjam. Below are some pros I’ve found and some suggested improvements for both Figma and Figjam when it comes to dealing with image and video especifically. Figjam:Feels a bit better for sharing video for feedback because it can be played directly on the board, but then there’s no option to showcase the file name and that is very important for Motion Graphics or 3D animators because we need to be able to reference the file we have locally. Milanote displays the filename automatically and I think it would be great if we could have the option to showcase the file always, or not, or maybe only on hover. The fact that we can type text and DIRECTLY tag other people without needing to create a comment is great, especially for feedback. Hi Figma staff, This might be a dumb question but why doesn’t a keyboard shortcut exist for ‘Go to main component’ ? Working with components and instances is a core workflow so wouldn’t a keyboard shortcut be as important as ‘Create component’ and ‘Detach instance’? Thank you in advance!

It was the final semester of university, and the weight of upcoming online exams was starting to feel impossible. We had no idea where to begin—should we focus on particular subjects or just cram with practice tests? I dont know who design this slide editor, but it is way too stupid no function to apply the same background to all page. Even when we search on the help its not there. For this one reason is enough to avoid it. Rubbish

I want to share my figpal with others, but I’m not sure where they are. Can you add the little people icon bubbles to the corner of projects and files so we can see where active users are to let our figpals collaborate together?

Hi Figma,As the title suggests, the main use case for UI 3 as a product designer like myself is utilizing AI features, background removal, and layer renaming. However, beyond these, the UI itself presents cognitive challenges.Here’s a small comparison between UI 2 and UI 3: UI 3 has more complex icons. (Why use a border in the typography icon, especially in such a small space?) Wasted space and visual distraction. (I don’t understand—why does everything need to be wrapped in a background? This adds unnecessary layers of complexity and distraction.)  

If some layers in my component are currently assigned to a boolean property, Figma now blocks my ability to re-assign these layers to a different boolean property without first locating every layer with an existing property and removing the prop assignment. This is incredibly frustrating, because there is no easy way to select these layers. I instead have to dig through (potentially hundreds of) layers to figure out which ones have properties so I can remove them, then use multi-edit to assign them all to the correct new property. This could be a quick thing for Figma to fix, by means of a couple solutions:Allow re-assignment of layer properties without having to first remove existing assignments. Make it possible to select all layers assigned to a property. This is already possible with variants — I can click the button next to the listed variant to “select _ variants.”Here’s an example of my current experience:After merging variants from 2 components, I accidentally now have 2 proper

‘Absolute position’ is now called ‘ignore auto layout’, ‘space between’ is called ‘auto’ and there are probably a few other settings that Figma has applied its own naming to.Why?It’s bad enough that layout and styling in Figma does not behave like CSS and HTML in many cases, which means that we have to completely rethink our approach to design. Now we have learn new terminology as well.Even for somebody who doesn’t know CSS, I would assume that it hardly makes any difference which term they learn. It would even be an advantage if they learn the correct CSS terminology, so if they do learn CSS one day (which, in my opinion, would be highly beneficial), they don’t have to learn new terminology for everything.If I could make a wish, it would be to please align terminology and behaviour between Figma and real-world CSS wherever possible.

The keyboard shortcut to Zoom to 100% is quite uncomfortable. Hitting Command + 0 is just so unnatural, it requires both hands, or moving one hand to around mid-keyboard to use the other Command key and the 0.I know this is pretty standard, I don’t really blame whomever made the call.Now: 1) you cannot edit the shortcut with macOS’s Keyboard Shortcuts feature (I can’t overwrite it to ⌘1), which is quite lame, 2) nor can I set it up within Figma’s Preferences. This could be a very cool addition. Let users choose keyboard shortcuts.To be fair, having ⌘1 go to the Home tab in Figma makes no sense. Why would I want that easy, comfortable shortcut to do that? I barely go to the Home tab.Anyways, I hope this can be moved up the chain.Thanks.

If I have an item or component and send it to a different page, it often takes me several minutes to figure out where it went. 

Figma just added an icon to collapse all layers. A thing that has existed in keyboard commands forever. but once again...they did not provide the reverse. Ability to expand all layers. why does Figma only do anything halfway? maybe instead of focusing on things like silly “FigPals” they could work on the million half-finished shortcomings in the product? instead of a cute temporary bunny, I would like to be able to control which properties of a nested component are adjustable. but Figma is making play toys. this is what my enterprise team license is getting me.

This new pricing model for Dev Mode $35/seat/month just to inspect already finished designs is so out of touch with reality, I have no words. We have an enterprise Figma license and we capped Editor seats to a minimum because it’s hard to sell to C-level. This limits UX maturity and spread of Figma usage in product development across the whole org. We have about 4x as much full-stack developers as we have designers, who OCCASIONALLY need to inspect designs. How the bleep are we supposed to sell those seats to C-level executives? This is completely unrealistic and limits not only spread of Figma usage, but design-led product development in our org even more. If we are to keep Figma, all of our designers are left with one option, to extensively micro-document each design for devs to read as a book. Losing huge chunk of our UX time. What a self-destructing pricing strategy from Figma. What do we do now?
