Properties propagation is necessary to build and maintain a flexible, modular, and dynamic design systems.For example, I’m building a TableCell component in my design system, which should support inline editing. I’d like to crate a Value property on the TableCell master component, so both states (View | Edit) retain this value when switched. I’ll use different components to render out the cell value:View mode - Typography (text) component Edit mode - TextField (input) componentI can’t implement this, unfortunately, due to the limitation described in this thread, so I have a few options:Use nested instances and lose the ability to propagate the master component (TableCell) Value property to the child instances (Typography, TextField), so once the state is changed, overrides (Value) are lost, and should be re-entered (manually) for each of the component states.   Don’t use nested instances and instead put detached versions of them. Hi Figma, Listen it’s my fault, literally, that help is designed this way where it deflects. I designed Answers at Salesforce and that was the first of this sht. Giving feedback from within the product, is not a help topic. I suggest you have a separate channel. A google form would work very well, actually. It could create a spreadsheet and you could categorize the items. Designers ARE your bread and butter. NO, regular people are not going to swarm to Figma no matter what Exec says AI will make that happen. A whitelabel version will be more attractive for enterprises, resellers etcIm currently using figma for managing my docs. but its very difficult and i dont want to use canva docs. Am I missing something or is the old Community home completely gone?It used to feel like its own place, with clear navigation, and a nice way to filter and discover new plugins.The new “Tools & Templates” tab just feels so…. clinical, sterile, barebones. It feels like a downgrade.

On a regular basis, whenever I have to move a file, I click on “Drafts”, thinking that it will let me move the file. But, this takes me to all Drafts, which I understand is probably the desired state for when the file is in a correct project folder. However, this drives me crazy every single time that I try to move something from drafts, which happens regularly given I create files outside of projects most of the time. Would love consideration on changing the Draft state for moving. 

Team,Why can’t I use a component set as an overlay and specify the variant I want to choose? Friends? Please. Otherwise, I have to make an instance that just sits there strictly for overlay. Same thing with  navigate to, really. Disorganizes the file and makes it “heavier” than preferred. Please, fix this.

Once I replace image I have connected with other entities or screens, all the attached connecting arrows are being rerouted in a way that I need to zoom out so much to tweak them to be as they were so it is easier to create new arrows and delete existing. It’s super annoying

Hey guys,UI3 has come a long way, I remember it was absolute crap in the beginning, it’s actually pretty cool now. But somehow, it still feels like the UX is not perfect. Maybe because all the sections in the right side panel rely too much on text? The structure makes sense, but I often find myself editing the corner radius for example, when in fact I want to edit the auto layout padding. That’s just one example, I feel that in the previous version I didn’t rely on reading as much, but mostly on reaction, which was instant.

 Right now, I’m trying to open and test what I worked on in Make locally, but nothing works. If there’s no way to restore the existing UX/UI to use it as-is locally, then Figma Make seems like a completely pointless tool to me.

For comments that have been resolved, can the user avatars in the comment panel not be set to gray? It's quite inauspicious, as it looks like the person has passed away.

In grid features Canvas Stacking (Last to Top/First to top) is not working properly

Could you please stop it? I don’t know how many times this happened to me as a multi user/multi team user I couldn’t find my files at the same place I left them and having heart attacks almost. Whatever your strategy on updates, it is really very shitty for the users-at least in my experience. I spent two hours just now to understand what you did with the navigation and why I can not see my project folders as I organized them before. At least keep our starred projects on the left side so we could find some things easily, maybe? 😮‍💨 You assume all designers have lots of free time to explore your new ways of navigation each time you update it and organize their files/organization structures accordingly? Most of us are regular working class people, just trying to fit some work-hours in our busy calendars and you are turning it to a big hustle for us just to find and open an existing file🤦🏻‍♀️ Stop using your time to adding new AI features maybe and put some real time to design and bui

Hi Figma team!I noticed Make supports importing only library components from Figma Design. Would be great to import a frame from a file for prototyping. My team’s design process is typically to start with a high fidelity screen which uses a mix of our design system and custom components. We want to link this source frame into Make so that we can get a functioning prototype for cross-functional team discussions. Is this feature being considered? Recent effects like noise, texture, or progressive blur are not scalable. Since the sliders are limited to 100, scaling a shape linked to these effects will result in a different visual appearance, as the effects do not scale with the shape.

Although the new version of the color filler can clearly see more configurations, you can't directly fill in the HEX value. You must open the filler and select the HEX mode to fill it in. It is not in line with an excellent interactive design experience. I hope it will be modified in the next version. In addition, each major version change of figma will lead to a lot of additional learning costs. I hope the product manager can reflect on it. Finally, thank the team for providing such a useful tool.

I had this issue where I want to hover on a drop down icon, be able to go through the options and still close the drop down without attaching a close button. I wanted the overlay to close when my mouse leave but it was still stuck. SolutionAfter linking my dropdown button to the content I wanted using (mouse enter effect), I clicked on the add interaction on the content body, dragged it to the close overlay, changed the ‘on click action’ to ‘mouse leave’

Hi there,I was handing over a component (Toggle) and got feedback that they can see only SVG in the DEV mode and they cannot properly inspect the element and especially the inner parts (the circle) of the component.The only way to prevent it is to add auto layout to it. As I learned by testing. I checked with my other colleagues and they have the same issue. I don't necessarily want to add auto layout to everything and SVG is useless to DEVs.Any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Hi all, use case:to set file display order, now I need to go to per project folder and select the order while most of the time i’d love to view items per alphabetical order everywhere requestif this is existing feature, please let me know how to do that  if not existing, please allow option to say “apply this order to all folders” on the dropdown or some other solution that achieve the same goal reference image 

Currently Figma doesn’t offer all languages, for example Dannish, Finish, Norwegian are not available. Would be perfect to have all languages so that we can translate slides directly.

Can we allow items from preferences (and other menus) to show up in the Actions CMD+K menu? I use invert zoom direction a lot for example. Turning stuff on and off constantly like this is a pain. 

 Dear Figma Team,We’d like to report a serious misunderstanding that occurred due to the current UI design of the file search and metadata display.When searching for design files, we noticed that the user profile and the last edited timestamp are shown together. However, the user profile displayed is that of the file creator, not the person who last edited the file.This led us to mistakenly believe that a former employee—whose profile was shown—was somehow still accessing and editing our files through unknown means. We were very close to taking legal action before we discovered that the profile displayed belonged to the file's original creator, not the last editor.This UI behavior is highly misleading and can lead to serious misunderstandings and even legal consequences. We kindly suggest revising the interface so that it clearly distinguishes between the file creator and the last editor, or at least displays the most relevant profile depending on the context.Thank you for your attenti
