Here is an example of what it does :



  • If I move the Avatar group one time no problem;

  • If I move it another time, the group is flattened : all groups or variable inside are in the level 0 of the tree.



If only a tool could sort variables alphabetically 🙂

Not much help here. Maybe just empathy?


I noticed that it matters to where you are moving it.


I feel like maybe when this happens to me, I am pulling something out of nested groups and into the root. Where, Figma thinks, โ€œoh, all this stuff does not need to be in a folder anymore.โ€


Does that feel like what you are seeing?


I think I noticed that too, but using it more, I donโ€™t have that happen now. I might have been assimilated.


I think that once the items have been moved they are invisibly selected and it feels as you describe it.

Just found a workaround by first unselecting the collection I want to move and then move it but itโ€™s really annoying for such a simple task.
