Can App Store Optimization Services Really Help Small Developers Compete?

Hey folks,

I’m an indie developer with a small team, and we just launched our first mobile app. It’s been exciting, but getting noticed in the app stores is way harder than I expected. I’ve heard a lot about App Store Optimization Services, but I’m not sure if they actually make a big difference—especially for smaller apps with limited marketing budgets.

Do these services really help improve visibility and downloads? Or are they more useful for bigger apps with established user bases? I’ve seen companies offering keyword research, creative asset optimization, A/B testing, etc., but I don’t know if it’s worth the cost for someone just starting out.

Has anyone here tried using App Store Optimization Services for a new or indie app? I’d really appreciate any feedback on what worked, what didn’t, and whether it’s better to learn ASO and do it yourself.

Looking to make smart moves without wasting time or money, so any advice or recommendations are welcome!

Thanks in advance!

They will get you lots of fake downloads and fake reviews.

If you want real customers you would be better finding a marketing/publishing company. I found the best way to get your app out there is get review copies to reviewers and YouTubers.
