Typography variables now include scoping, a follow up from Framework Scoping a variable allows you to limit which properties it can be applied to. This gives you better control over where the variable can be used and cuts out the guesswork when designing. For example, if you scope a number variable to font size, you’ll only be able to apply the variable to font size. x.com We’ve clarified the mechanics of copying and pasting an object bound to local variables No longer automatically populating a file with local variables by default unless a user specifies Introducing an interstitial tooltip (B) that requires the user to confirm before bringing along any local variables. On the Enterprise plan, workspace admins can now brand the workspaces they manage to reflect their group by adding custom icons to workspaces. This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://www.figma.com/release-notes/?title=Add%20custom%20icons%20to%20workspaces
We’re excited to announce that we’ve made FigJam compatible with screen readers. Users that rely on screen reader technology can now interact with FigJam boards by: reading out content, including board hierarchy, shapes with text, stickies, tables, and image alt text moving focus around the canvas and into different menus creating and editing content, such as any editable text or comments using a screen reader or keyboard shortcuts You can read more about which actions are supported via screen reader in our Help Center. This is our first iteration in making FigJam more inclusive from an accessibility standpoint, and we’d love to learn more about how we can improve upon this work. Please leave comments below about your experience using FigJam with a screen reader, improvements we can make, and what you’d like to see us tackle next to make FigJam a place where everyone can jam together!
