I have a repeatable pattern, where the source use a variable that has two modes; light and dark. The mode is set to auto (default: light) on the pattern frame itself. When the pattern is applied and I swap the mode in a frame from light to dark; everything changes, except from the pattern. In my case the pattern should have turned to a dark color. Is this a bug? A feature? And is there a workaround? Repeatable diagonal line pattern 

I’m working on some mobile app mockups with very few frames in the prototype trying to test a few gestures. When I load it onto my phone using the mobile app it runs very poorly. I thought it might be image sizes so I compressed them by exporting them at the right size and still terrible performance. Then I removed the images entirely and just used vector shapes, still awful. I am running it on a Pixel 7 Pro with the app updated. I have deleted and redownloaded the app and used new files with just simple frames. Nothing seems to make the Figma app work well. Is there a better way to test mobile gestures on a device with touch? PS. I saw other topics like this one Here that is very similar to my issues from a year ago with no solutions.

Is there a way I can convert my Figma Make design to Figma design?  

After pressing the copy command (on my iOS, e.g. cmd + c, having Figma open in Firefox) while having marked some specific part in the code view css text box, the clipboard remains empty or rather *is emptied*, if before there was something in it. The quick-copy buttons work as expected, but not always do I want to copy the whole code, but only certain values or texts. e.g. I would only mark “var(--Typography-Bold, 600)” in the following text and press CMD + C, but it won’t copy. I always have to use the quick-copy buttons and paste it somewhere, then cut out the not needed rest.overflow: hidden;color: var(--Font, #ffffff);text-overflow: ellipsis;font-style: normal;font-weight: var(--Typography-Bold, 600);line-height: var(--Typography-Line-Height, 16px); 

Hello, I have built a Figma Make Project which is working beautifully. I have following questions about the same: How can I duplicate the project? I can see the option to download the Figma Make file but how can I use it to duplicate the project? Even the code can be downloaded but how to use the downloaded zip file again to create another similar project? Will the code be stable and scalable? Should I just treat it as MVP or I can rely on it to build a scalable business. I am not a coder, therefore, I want to know how much I can rely on Figma Make only.  Can you provide a feature to directly create Github repo from Figma Make project. Many other platforms like Replit provide it.  

Figma Team,This is absolutely unacceptable. A payment was made from my credit card, without any authentication or prior notification. What’s even more shocking is that I never saved my card details on my account, yet the billing was processed automatically.This is a serious breach of data protection and financial security. What if I didn’t have sufficient funds? What if I didn’t want to make the payment? You cannot just charge users without consent—this is outright unethical and borderline fraudulent. This is completely unacceptable, especially since my card is not supposed to be saved with you. How did this even happen?I demand an immediate explanation and resolution. This level of negligence is beyond disappointing, and I expect a prompt response. I have already sent an email about this issue.  I'm making an application that requires user authentication by OAuth to perform certain actions, and well to avoid the problem of the user having to repeat the OAuth multiple times, I can use the Refresh Token, but reading I saw that they combined the use of the same endpoint that returns the code in the OAuth flow with that of the Refresh TokenBut there's a problem, it redirects me here:https://developers.figma.com/docs/rest-api/authentication/#refresh-oauth-tokenAnd this page only covers the OAuth flow. There are no examples or explanations of how to use the same endpoint for this flow to use the Refresh Token and get a new one. By the way, the page doesn't even mention the refresh token's validity period. The only thing they mention at the end of the document is that the access token lasts 24 hours. It's confusing because I don't know if it's just the one generated manually on the page or both (it would be good to clarify that). I'd like to know if there's any official documentatio

I’m having an issue in my Figma Design file with colour library for past few days. Inside the colour library dropdown, the colours I have added from my Design System are not showing any thumbnail. I can see all the colour variable created in the Design System but none of the groups are showing colour thumbnails. Once I switch from grid view to list view in the colour library dropdown, I can see the complete list of all the colours and they are working correctly. But I’m still not seeing the colours thumnail associated to the variables. I’m attaching screenshots to give a better context of what the issue is. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or any suggestions to resolve this?Not able to see the colours in colour libraryCan see the colours in list view but colour thumbnail is still not visible  

After updating, I can't see the emails of people who have requested access to my file. This is important to me because I can only grant access to people with corporate email addresses.  

Hello Community,I need advice on how to manage time handling with variables currently attached to text styles.In my design process, I created a single variable for letter spacing and applied it across both header and text styles. However, for another project, I need to treat them separately. The challenge is quickly assigning a new variable to the default text styles (especially for bulk edits) without having to click through each text style one by one.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!Many thanks in advance.

I’m unable to publish changes to my library. I keep getting a message to reload the page to publish. After reloading, there’s a record that a component was indeed published; but there’s no updates available or any changes on the Figma files where I’m using this library. Any idea what I’m missing or is there an issue?

I had figma free education plan which i applied for now they emailed me to re-verify by september 29 or I'll lose those pro features now I joined figma recently a month back i have re-applied for verification but they say i have exceeded limit for verification or availed this offer. I’m sure that the page is extended to include the entire design content of my pages, but when I publish, some of them are fully viewable and others I can’t scroll to the bottom of them! Sometimes it’s just a little bit, and other times it’s a good 200px worth of content. I’ve tried different browsers and it’s consistent across them.

Hi. I’m having some issues with auto layout and map scrolling.I’ve created a map and a bottom nav bar, got it to scroll correctly, and using auto layout to make it responsive (the map and nav bar resizes and displays correctly).The problem is that the HUD (map zoom etc.) layer wont resize with the the screen.To make it stay on top of the map, I’ve set it to fixed position, and therefore the auto layout don’t work. I’m a complete newbie with Figma, but i know this is possible to achieve, I just don’t know how.Attached a screenshot of the Layer view, and two screens showing the issue.Appreciate any help.

Hello!I tried re verification for FIGMA student, but it was showing network error even though network was good, and continuously trying it was still showing the same error.Then it started showing Verification limit exceeded.So I contacted sheerID via mail, they responded with:We were unable to process your verification request. And Your ticket has now been permanently closed.I mail them again and again still got no solution.. If it's possible resetting the verification limit, please do it.Please provide the solution for this issue otherwise I won't be able to re verify student plan.I have also attached the image for better clarification. 

There is a bug on the contrast checker and I'll try to describe the bug here with some visuals.Imagine you have a fixed frame with a list of items that overflows that fixed frame, and those list items are for example a rectangular frame with a text inside it. The hierarchy would look like this:The first two items correctly show the white foreground color within the contrast checker and also the correct background color (red)but on the third item only the foreground color (white text) is correctly shown, the background color is shown as my canvas background color (303030), which is technically a background, but the wrong one. It should still be the red background of the frameThe color contrast checker should default back to the nearest hierarchy and take that element as the background. Right now it feels like it’s checking within the canvas what the background is and not within the hierarchy.

I’m reaching out because an important file has suddenly disappeared from my account. I’m the owner of the file, but when I click on its link, I get the following message:“This design file may be deleted, moved or made unavailable. Try reaching out to the file owner.”The problem is that I am the owner of this file, and it doesn’t appear anywhere. Not in “Drafts to Move”, not in “Trash”, and not in any of my team projects. I’ve also confirmed that I’m logged into the correct account.This file is extremely important for my work, and I need to recover it urgently. I have deactivated my domain with address assigned to my Figma account account and I haven't changed it to a new one. Now I need to assign a new email so I can access my Figma account. How can I do that? I am not longer able to access my old domain. I paid for upgraded version of Figma and I have bank account receipts to prove I am the owner.Can you help me please?

I’m trying to set up an alert that shows up like an overlay, kind of how it would in a regular Figma prototype, but in Figma Sites. Since Sites doesn’t support overlays, I can get something similar working using a reveal interaction.The tricky part is that I only want the alert to appear when someone gets to this page from a specific button or page, not when they land here directly or from somewhere else. In Figma Design, I could do this by giving the button two interactions (navigate → then open overlay).I can get it to work by creating two versions of the same page, one with the alert and one without, but that’s not ideal because I’d have to keep both versions updated every time I make changes.I also tried to get this working through a code layer, but no matter what I do, it doesn’t seem to work. I don’t think the code layer has a way of knowing where the user came from.Any better way to handle this? 

Why I don't have figma AI tool after one year? how should I get it?

Creating a comment in FigJam will often cause cursor to get stuck in Hand Tool mode. Especially so on click and drag to create a comment area selection.  Only way I’ve discovered to release the state and return the cursor to Pointer / Select Tool is to click create new tab, or navigate to another tab, and click back. It’s a common mis-click and leads to significant efficiency disruption. Anyone else experiencing this?

Recently, it seems that now interacting with prototypes in the Notes view of presentation mode in Figma Slides does not reflect what the audience is seeing in their view of the presentation. I have to move my cursor away from my notes to the audiences view of the slides and interact with the prototype there. This seems like a bug to me. It was not performing this way last week. Additionally, another update that seems to have happened at the same time is that prototypes in Slides load automatically and do not need to be clicked on to load, this is OK, but in my use case, i wanted 2 prototypes on the screen at once (Before & After versions), and having them load at the same time causes confusion. Having an option to load immediately or start on click would be helpful.
