Why there is not shortcut for Copy as SVG?

marcusboyds

Hey guys, what’s up? How are you doing?

Would like to ask here why there is no Copy as SVG shortcut? Being a very used format on the entire world, a SVG shortcut would trigger a lot of designers a way faster way to design with us on Figma.

Please, if you agree with me, share with others Figmers

Hi there @marcusboyds,

I had the same problem and found a workaround on MacOS.

Go to System Settings / Keyboard Shortcuts / Application Shortcuts

Click little plus icon and set up your shortcut. Remember to type exactly the same name that appears in the Figma Menu. For example like this:

I’m not sure about Windows thought.

Hope that helps. Cheers.

Currently having custom shortcuts at Figma is not supported, however, you might wanna consider this One Click SVG plugin by konfuzz, if you have it open, you can copy with one click, as opposite to right click and then click 😉
