Hello!

As Figma’s inspect panel may have changed the rules for teams used to Zeplin, Invision, Avocode or other Handoff tools, I thought it would be interesting to open a topic about your developper handoff workflow.

Do you ? :

  • Still use handoff tools (Zeplin, Invision, Avocode) on top of Figma

  • Invite developers into your files and use only the inspect panel

  • Use UI libraries (Material UI, Vuetify…etc) to code your design and doesn’t really need handoff

  • Use design-to-code tools like Anima, Overlay, Figma to Html, Pxcode or other plugins.

Happy to chat about this 🙂

I used Zeplin in the past and I still think is good approach. I’m actually researching new handoff processes right now, but didn’t find a significantly better approach than using Zeplin because it helps having a static version of screens. Figma has the “branching”, but I heard it’s messy and unreliable. Plus, only available for organization license, which isn’t what my company has.

Hey Marcelo,

We’re helping a client potentially use Zeplin - would you be up to chat about this week or next?
