I have the issue where my variables are displaying twice in any menus when I have ‘All libraries’ selected. They’re listed once as local variables (no title) and then a second time as library variables under the files name. I thought perhaps I had some how turned the file on as a library for itself but if I had done that I would also have text styles and components being listed twice which I do not.

The list of variables that are being presented as though they’re from an external library only update when I publish the library (which I guess is expected in an odd way but it mean if I mistakenly choose a variable from the wrong list it won’t update instantly, I’ll have to publish the file first before I see changes despite those changes being made in the same file).

Just to add to this, in the color library menus, published color styles are only appearing once but color variables are appearing twice (once as local variables and once as an external library) so this must be a bug!

i am also facing same problem. I will try to reach out Figma support for this and let see what they share about this.
