Since the update, how do I just see the distance between objects in design mode?

Before when I had an object selected and hovered over another, it told me the distance between them in pixels. Since the new update, I have to go into Dev mode to see this. How can I see the distance between objects in design more?

I’m having the same issue. I select an object. I hover over another object and select:

option/alt: it shows me the distance to the edge of the frame
option/alt + command: it shows me the distance to the edge of the frame
command: it shows me the distance to the edge of the frame

How do I see the distance between two objects without going into dev mode? I used to do this a million times per day so easily. What happened?

The distance measurement feature works as before. Make sure that the object you want to measure the distance to is not overlapped by other layers, including locked ones, low opacity ones, or masks.

This was the issue I found! There was a hidden layer that covered the entire design inhibiting the distance feature from working properly.
