Measuring Distance Between Fixed and Scrolling Layers

Phil_Larsen

Seems that I can’t hold shift to measure two layers when one is scrolling and the other is fixed. Not sure why I wouldn’t be able to, but that is something that I find myself needing to do regularly.

Please remove the restriction of comparing those elements!

I can’t reproduce this. Maybe you need to also hold Cmd/Ctrl if these objects are nested in other groups/frames? And yes, you don’t hold Shift to measure distances, hold Alt/Opt.

Mmmm, meant to say I was pressing Option. I’ll try some things, doesn’t happen all the time so it feels more like a bug

Make sure your layers are not overlapped by other layers. Also check if the layers are locked.

Could you share an example of a file in which distance measurement doesn’t work?
