Shortcuts confict on Chrome after clicking anywhere on the sidebar

After updating Chrome problem seems to be resolved. Working with the browser app for few hours now and everything works fine.

Since lately (3 days now) I experience shortcuts conflict when using Figma on Chrome.

Using shortcuts like:

cmd + shift + g;
cmd + d;
cmd + shift + h

trigger Chrome actions instead of Figma actions, but only when my cursor is in the context of a sidebar, e.g. after expanding layer’s content and trying to expose a hidden layer found inside. This is HUUUGE problem since there is no other (simple) way to select a hidden layer without using the context of sidebar tree view.

I havent experienced problems of this kind before and now its ruining my productivity. Please, help!

I use Chrome and Mac Sonoma (14.4.1) on Macbook pro M1

    Hi everyone! For some users, the issue has been fixed by upgrading to the newest version on Chrome.

    Can you try upgrading to the newest version and check if the same issue occurs? (The newest is Version 124.0.6367.93 at the moment).

    It seems to be a general problem with the loss of focus status when interacting (selecting a layer) in the sidebar.

    Hi everyone! For some users, the issue has been fixed by upgrading to the newest version on Chrome.

    Can you try upgrading to the newest version and check if the same issue occurs? (The newest is Version 124.0.6367.93 at the moment).

      This is still not fixed! Running Chrome Version 127.0.6533.72 and experiencing exact same issues described above. For example, trying to duplicate and element using Ctrl + D triggers Add/Edit Page Bookmark on Chrome. Ctrl + Shift + R (paste to replace) triggers Chrome Hard Reload. Using shortcut keys is very frustrating now, as they no longer work as expected.

        Hey Celine, I don’t see the need to create a video or this, All the needed information and videos are already here in this topic. Also I already explained that the issues everyone described in this topic still occur. Upgrading to the latest Chrome version is NOT a fix. You can’t rely on Chrome updates, instead the conflict between Chrome and Figma shortcuts should be actively corrected by your devs.

          Sorry for the miscommunication here, it is to double check the issue on your end and to better follow up your issue via the support (as in our bug report, it’s been resolved from the user’s end by updating Chrome.)

          As you said you have the exact same issue, I’ve shared it in our bug report as it could be a regression. The engineering team will investigate it further, sorry again for the trouble! We will keep you posted if we need any additional information. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

Can you please share more details, as sequence of actions that you are taking before noticing that these shortcuts are broken? This will help us to investigate it. Thank you for your help!

          Problem came back and this time updating Chrome doesnt solve it. It’s exactly the same as I described in the first post. Guys, please do something about.

          Fortunately for me I’m starting 2 week vacation tommorow, but take care all of you, who is just frustrated as I am every time cmd+shift+H clears your tab instead of hiding an element.

          Update: not any more. Problem reappears after a while of using Chrome/Figma

          Updating both Chrome and MacOS seems to solve the issue for now 🙂
