I am creating a game in a prototype. A player accesses the game/prototype through the sharing link. Playing the game changes variables. When a player exits the game/prototype (by closing the browser, for instance) and wants to restart (click the link, reopen Figma) the game, the data/variables will be reset, he cannot return to his game. How can I remedy this?

Hey @Koos_Ris, thank you for reaching out! I am guessing this is not possible at this moment. However, I am double checking this with the team. Will get back to you once I get more information on this.

Appreciate your patience!

Thank you Gayani!

Hey @Koos_Ris, apologies for the delayed response! I’ve double checked this and got the confirmation that this isn’t possible at this moment.

Feel free to create a feature request post on the Forum (https://forum.figma.com/c/share/12.), so others can express their interest and vote. Our team can look into this for improvement.

Thanks!

Hello @Gayani_S greetings from rainy Holland and thanks for the reply. A follow up question: Boolean variables show up changed in the design pane | local variables when changed in a prototype, but number variables do not. Can number variables which are changed when using a prototype somehow be saved, downloaded or transferred somehow? Kind regards, Koos

Hey @Koos_Ris, greeting from rainy England!

Could you please clarify your questions please “Can number variables which are changed when using a prototype somehow be saved, downloaded or transferred somehow?”

Where do you want to save/download or transfer them, can you give me a specific example?

Thanks in advance!
