Prototype component flow has stopped working

Hi,

I created a very simple dropdown component and tested it out yesterday and it was working fine in prototype preview mode (click the dropdown to show the list, click an option in the list to select, etc). But today when I tried to preview it again it will not let me, the Starting flow label has disappeared and there is no option to view the flow in the prototype side panel.
I have tried deleting the flow links and starting again, but when I add the first link again it still doesn’t create a new flow.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing your issue. I tried testing it with your interactive components and noticed there were some layers with the same names, so I went ahead and changed them.

It seems to be working now. Could you try this solution and see if it resolves your issue?

Please let me know how that works.

Thanks,
Toku

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like there is no ongoing issue about that. To investigate, would you be able to share your file link?

Thanks,
Toku

Hi,
Thanks for this! I renamed the layers and it seems to be working now 🙂 The only thing is I don’t see the blue ‘Test’ starting point flag in the corner of the test frame, but the preview mode still works. Does that matter?

Thanks

Thanks for checking and I’m glad to hear it’s working well now! The “Test” is a flow of the prototype, but it’s not important in this context. I simply labeled it as “Test” for easier understanding while testing the flow.

For a more detailed understanding of the flow, you can visit this link: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039823894-Create-and-manage-prototype-flows.

I hope this provides additional assistance.

Thanks!
Toku
